The actor who played Rose's boyfriend also had a long running role on the NBC soap Another World. Sadly, the actor killed himself in the 90's. The Actor who played Rose's dad in her dream was Billy Barty. He was in countless movies and tv shows. His career started as one of the Munchkins in The Wizard Of Oz.

Brent Collins (who played Rose's bf) didn't kill himself. He died of a heart attack in 1988, which was caused by complications of Marfan Syndrome.
