We are back with another THE GOLDEN GIRLS REACTION. Today, we are watching CHARLIE'S BUDDY. In this episode, an "old friend" of Rose's Charlie comes for a visit to reminisce on old war times with Rose. He quickly admits to Rose he has feelings for her and asks her to move in with him. But something is royally off with the guy!! Elsewhere in the episode, Dorothy and Blanche look for outfits for a soiree which leads them to find the SAME DRESS! 🤣
This was such a funny episode! I hope you guys enjoy it too!

I am a hardcore The Nanny fan, and in 2018 I accidentally discovered Golden Girls by random YT algorithms for suggested videos to watch, and I have been watching both series alternately almost every night, over and over. There is always something about these shows that warm my heart, perhaps how they value familial institution and friendship that stick to me the most. And of course the wisdoms.

FIrst time commenting here. I always liked that last scene with Rose. Dorothy was worried about letting Rose believe the stories that Buddy was telling her. She knew he was lying to her. That smile on her face as she told Charlie good night... :)

Definitely Dorothy, for such a long wavy dress you had to be not just slim but really tall. Being small you look at least twice as wide as you actually are and without the height to balance it out - not good - speaking from experience here. Not a chance to pull anything like this off.

my number one worry is that if Rose didn't know, the same thing can happen again (but with a different conman) because she's not aware of the issue. I would at least tell Rose to be cautious of people trying to con her, without mentioning Buddy at all.

No Dorothy wears the dress significantly better. I've always thought Dorothy had a great, glamorous look to her. Very statuesque and regal. I forgot about the little part at the end with Rose. Sometimes this show just punches you in the gut 😢 Ok so this isn't a direct spoiler but you do find out later on who kept the dress if you remember it 😉

Statuesque is the word that always comes to my mind when I see Dorothy in that dress.. Statuesque and Regal.. very much the Roman Goddess!💖 And I agree with you that on Blanche, this dress was just "too much", it swallowed and enveloped her shorter frame and simply did nothing for her.🤷
