How to take a window switch apart and replace broken buttons.
This is just a quick video i filmed showing you how to take apart and fix the window swich on an alfa 147 or gt.

I've just given a 2006 147 JTDm 120bhp 8v with virtually all the lacquer peeled off the grey paint a new home. After only 2 weeks the drivers Door window switches both went wobbly, the passenger window has jammed closed, and it needs the timing belt doing, as I think it's the original one (150.000km). I'm used to 15 year old Toyotas so I think I'm in for some work.

The button from the driver's door is the same like the passengers door? I mean only the small button.

Hi, recently subscribed as I just bought a 147 and believe I can learn a lot from your channel. Came across my first problem with in 24 hours of ownership, I tried to take the window switch housing out to clean in as it was dirty, however when doing so I snapped it in half. Do you have a spare for sale ? I don’t need the whole unit just the top bit.

Hello. Can you help me? I take off the passenger side electric window switch module,to fix the button and repaint it. I put back everything,but my windows does not working. I hear a beep when I press the buttons,but the windows not moving.. Same as passenger side. My odometer is not flashing. Any solution please?

Hey, how do I remove passenger controls? Driver side had a skrew and then i could pop it of. Passenger sides does not have one.

Does it work the same with a 156? And if so can I use a button from a rear door for the drivers window button?

Richmond North Yorkshire, a OO gauge layout yes you can use the buttons from the rear.

Do you have to separate the upper and lower parts of the switch cluster to change the broken plastic tops or can you just lever off that top cover?

Nick Koleszar just the top cover, the lower part comes off very easily.

The price of a new window switch, on the driver side, for the Alfa 147 is around 300 euros, for the Alfa Mito the price is 50 euros. They are very similar, does anyone knows if the Mito switch fits and work on the Alfa147?

So as I took the switch out... Of course I lost the little lugs for for the switch. Can anyone tell me or point me to the dimensions? Then I can just CAD them up and print them. Thanks Or even what they are called and I can go searching myself. Thanks

I too lost the little white things... Did you find any way to only get them or you bought a whole new set?
