Thanks. Great video. Very well explained. This is the third video of yours that I've used as a guide. Ive just changed all four wheel bear ings on my Alfa Brera 2.4 diesel and also done the nearside lower control arm , 4 new brake discs and pads, new abs sensor nearside front but it didnt fail untill after Ide put it all together so had to take the new brake disc and hub off to gain access as it was fused in its hole with 17 years of rust. I really like your videos as they give me the confidence I need to get the work done that needs doing. Top banana. God speed.

Hey Neil, and other Jtd owners out there. P0016 Just found out what was wrong with my just acquired 159 2.4jtdm 200hp. I had the code p0016 come on, and it took me five days to figure out. For anyone with the same code, it might be your timingbelt sprocket on the crankshaft that sheared of it’s alignment key on the crank. Seams to happen sometimes, usually around 230-280k km. I hope I could help people with this, rather rare problem. Cheers

You here when the crank pulley is time for change. The multi belt start to squeak.
@razielkain23043 жыл бұрын
What mechanic did is remove the right wheel or where the steering wheel is and work on the engine from above and side below you get access to all that without taking engine out.changed the timing belt and then months later the waterpump and tensioner pulley and such.Good engine although heavy one.The crankpulley also can be changed from the side and best sign of it being worn out is hesitancy and clanging noise at idle which goes away when accelerating!

The screwdriver on the timingbelt to get the spanner up is not realy the right way... There is a slot, where you can use a tool in, to ajust the spanner and not press with a screwdriver on the new timingbelt with te risk to damage it...

I think in practice you really need to remove the engine to do this, insufficient room in the car.

Na loads of room
@benstraughan18624 жыл бұрын
themanmaschine there is plenty of room. The inky awkward part is getting the mount out, which really isn’t too bad. Take it from me, I fit these quite often at the same time as replacing the inlet manifold
