During the 2017 Fuel Faction trip I was lucky enough to drive the Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio, I decided to make this mini review, hope you like it :-)

Such a beautiful looking machine - particilarly in the red its wowzers! They have definitely gone on their own path and I really respect that. Even the clover emblem is so unique but kind of works to add character

So, your M2 or the QV? If you can only have one which would you choose?
@JoeAchilles17 жыл бұрын
QV, its different, it also has a MUCH better ride. The M2 would be most fun all of the time, the QV comes alive when you push it and would leave the M2 for dead. Cheers
@craigmak7 жыл бұрын
Joe Achilles thanks for your response. You have solidified my desire to get a QV. I figured the M2 would be a bit redundant with my e46 M3 anyways.

I've really been looking forward to your review of this bud - certainly didn't disappoint! Sounds like a very intriguing drive indeed and so typically Alfa, brilliantly executed but always with a degree of compromise which to me is exactly how an Alfa Romeo should be. I hope Alfa GB allow you to drive a U.K. spec car and are able to explain the difference between the experiences, that'd be a great watch! Excellent work as always bud!👍👍👍

Cheers buddy, as always really appreciate your kind words and support! Lets hope Alfa UK give me something to play with ;-)

Good video and a well balanced review. I think a few journos have driven the car with rose tinted glasses and have declared it as the best thing since sliced bread, so it was refreshing to see someone actually pick proper faults with it. Hopefully, I'll get the chance to drive one for myself on Thursday. If I do, I will report back here and let you know what I think. It'll be the auto version though of course, with it being in the UK.

I have the Veloce (it's tuned to 345bhp) and it's amazing to drive, not a massive fan of the sound with it being a 4 pot turbo, but it shifts, looks the tits and is relatively well built.

My thoughts on the sound exactly. Better than current M3 but tbh its difficult to make a fast car sound as bad as stock M3 lol

Hi Joe Another great video. I think what we want to hear is ....how reliable is this gonna be, as I had an Alfa years ago and got rid after 20 months, My belief then might still be the same, the dealer will make or break you. I sat in one at Geneva and also a Stelvio, we all have a bit of passion for an Alfa, gremlins or not. Keep up the good work mate, Tony

With the Zf box, it certainly feels 500 + bhp. Coming from a guy that had a 600 whp R32 gtr

@johncreedon18336 жыл бұрын
Your driving a manual version and only reving it to 6k rpm. No wonder it doesn't feel 500bhp fast. Drive the Zf version to the limiter and I'm sure you will feel it
@JoeAchilles16 жыл бұрын
This press car would go into limp mode if you took it above about 5800rpm.
@johncreedon18336 жыл бұрын
@@JoeAchilles1- that's my point. U didn't get to drive it properly.Its the last 1000 rpm that really matters!

German build quality is a myth these days because mordern BMWs,Mercedes Benz,VWs and Audis are famous for their unreliability because they break down way too often.

@roblombardi70997 жыл бұрын
Nice review Joe, it's better looking than an M3 for sure but I believe BMW still are a generation or two in front with regards to engineering . Still there's no denying it's a great effort from Alfa and a return to form.
@pix75497 жыл бұрын
I guess you believe in the wrong one. Which one have the best chassis, the most modern and powerful motor, the best balance, an exestensive use of light materials as carbon fiber including the propeller shaft...what is for you engineering?
@NoneNone-kp1qc7 жыл бұрын
Missed vibes TBH, I'm not sure this is on par with the F80/82 or even near... Looks great and is has more prestige than its rivals due to it being rare in comparison but as an over all package it just doesn't quite do it against the c63s or M3/4.. Good effort but hay ho... I would like to see the auto box reviewed as I think that would make a huge difference. Great content as always

It is full 13 seconds faster than the flagship M4 around Nurburgring!
