ALFALFA - Abandoned Kitten Rescue

Although we don’t know for sure what his story is… Alfalfa suddenly appeared at a feral colony in a parking lot, so we wanted to get him off the streets to safety, socialize him and hopefully find him a home.
Luckily his PAWSOME foster Mom Colleen decided he was already home and after falling in love with the little rascal, she adopted him herself!

🎊Happy New Year Chris & Fam.🎉 Thank you Chris for all that you do! Praying for Sweet Cole! I'm not on Instagram, so I hope you will also post on YT about his progress. I'm a Rescuer, residing in N.Y. and I totally understand how bad it is with all the domestic dumps! I care for MANY feral colonies in my community & it just never seems to end! 15 new dumps this year, and 1 large colony of cats (that I worked my fingers to the bone getting all TNR'd) were Poisoned! with only about 6 cats left. I'm beyond Devestated! And losing 2 of my kitties back to back during the beginning of the lockdown. And recently, a Senior cat that we've been caring for for 16 yrs just had to be PTS. 😔 It sure isn't easy doing this work, (as you well know), but we just have to keep on keeping on!....because these fur-babies NEED us Desperately!

Thank you so much to Chris for rescuing sweet Alfalfa, and for taking him to the safety of a foster mother, who subsequently became is permanent mother. Those markings are so crazy!! I feel so much for them when they’re panicking, and then we see them being loved and fed, playing and not having to worry about survival..... their personalities shine!!! Gosh cats are awesome!

The look on his face (who and what are you?) and his subsequent "Nope "(0:06) as he kept on stepping was cutest cat nope and walkaway so far. Perhaps he knew people were trying to help. Maybe he wasn't on the streets for too long and could still remember being part of a family. Not like kittens born outside in a colony.

@@janedoex1398 Very true. Cats are smart and some of them know what a trap is and learn what sets them off. My friend found that out when she was trying to trap a colony of cats at her place. We couldn't catch the "main culprit" because she knew what the trap meant.

Sadly often it comes to "dog vs cat person " which i find dumb and totally unessecary btw but whatever. Even though everyone can have preferences , there is no need to put "the others" down.

Baxter appeared one early morning when tech Dave was opening the Cat Hospital for business. his head was soaked in blood, and he just politely waited for Dave to open the door, then sauntered (cats don't "walk in", they saunter) in. he's now our Rescue of many years. Alfalfa looks to have hit the gold mine. lovely vid!

I've just started watching your videos. Some of them have brought me to tears, not just because I feel sad for the kitties, but also because they remind me of myself as an abused kid. I was abused so severely, I'm physically disabled. I was never rescued. Nor were the animals that were also abused in my home, whom I was too young to save. But I find it very healing to watch you rescue these cats and kittens, who are luckier than my cats and I were when I was a kid. Maybe I wasn't rescued, but these guys are, and that makes me feel better. I know that many others who were abused are passionate about animal rescue. Our rough childhoods give us extra compassion, I think. We understand. Just thought I'd tell you this, in case you weren't aware of the kind of unintentional therapy you're offering to survivors.
