Love the Vlogust vids and seeing Ottis growing day to day as well as your weekly vids! Tips from a pool company worker to get in your pool quicker!! Put the chemicals in at night because the sun burns off the chemicals quicker than they can do their job, it’s like us working in the hot sun versus working in the shade, we just work better under less stressors and so do the chemicals. It’s called shock and chlorine. Also walk around the pool when you put the chemicals in and it will circulate even better and work harder on the algae spots that need it since you are putting it in the direct spot. Enjoy your end of summer swimming, hopefully this saves you money and time on your pool!!

I love watching people cold water dip and realising how good it feels. I've been sea dipping all year round for the last 3 yrs and its my favourite thing ever . The winter months are the best, where it takes your breath away and you can't speak as its so cold! Love it! Keep it up!

For bugs, you may already have it but we have these sticky traps. They are clear and are a bit linger then a hand. They adhere to the window. We get a lot of flies and it catches flies really well. It’s nice because if you put them at the top or bottom of the window they are relatively invisible. However, downside is that it kills the bugs, but when you have a real problem it can be required.

The thing about school feeling like it takes forever vs. being parents and feeling like the day flies by - when you’re little, you’ve only lived for so long, so a day is such a bigger percentage of your whole life, verses as an adult. School terms take FOREVER, whereas as an adult, you turn around in July and wonder where the heck the year went. It’s all perspective of the percentage of your life lived.
