I too thank you for this lovely music sung by Hawaii's Favorite Son. I had this double album but with many moves it got lost. I lived in Hawaii Aug 1959 to May 1963 (my father was in Air Force). Got to see Alfred perform live and sadly was witness to his funeral procession (he had a heart attack at a young age). The Bishop Museum allowed many of the costumes and ceremonial artifacts to be used in his honor. I studied hula under Betty Ship (a well known Hawaiian dancer of that time) and was suppose to be in the procession but sprained my ankle). I was 10 yes old and even now at 71 still remember how to hula. I used this album to practice at home with and now that I once again have the music available I can musically relive my time in the Islands.
