Scene at 0:13 where Tippi is crossing the street is near the same spot/corner that James Stewart crosses at dusk in Vertigo when he is wandering which is another fav Hitchcock movie of mine but some of the scenes from The Birds are very memorable. After a few months ; Puerto Rico was recovering from Hurricane Maria( September 20, 2017) I went to the supermarket, as I came out. On top of the billboard and the cables; there was so many black birds. My first thought was this movie. I never walk so fast to my car. It will be 5 years since that horrible hurricane hit us. Movie was released March 28, 1963 ; on the same day of my birthday. I was 6 years old. Saw it when I was 10. Ms Tippi georgeous.

Always loved the human interest stories rather than the bird attacks - each character was sort of alone in the world aside from the young girl. By the way at the time many thought the idea of Mitch and Cathy being siblings with such an age difference was quite implausible.
