😂I played this last year with my old teacher which btw he retired but was literally the best this year our teacher takes things rlly slow and treats us like beginning band like uh no but fr everyone was obsessed with this song even thought the clarinets had to play the same note over and over ngl it was my favorite song and we still play it like when the teacher this year let’s us free play ( or whatever he calls it idc) in the beginning of class one person starts playing and others join in and everyone who wasn’t at our school last year just stays quiet and it’s like our first concert over again😂 Also the day our concert was, it was a rainy day/ stormy day making it even better with the song as it’s basically what it’s based off

Percussion and brass are like a fanfare to war, then the woodwinds and french horn have a graceful melody, almost like a voice of reason nearly drowned out by the drums of war, but still significant. I swear i can think of millions of stories just from this one piece of music. I first liked it because it sounded like American Venom, now this is one of the best pieces i ever played
