We played this during our last concert of the year for the founding principal of the school, who was retiring. This was a favorite of hers. It was a surprise, not listed in the program, and our director had the principal's old band director conduct. We later learned that that was our own band director's last concert with us, so we surprised him on one of the last days of school in the front of the school, having set up chairs and stands in concert order, and had him conduct the song since he couldn't do it during the concert. Lots of sentiment, with this song!

We are playing this song in our band for our football games. I knew how to play the real song on guitar, so I asked our director if I could play it and he said yes! It is so much fun to play! If anyone's wondering, I tune the E, A, and D strings of my guitar to A# D# and G# and play the trombone parts. It sounds amazing!

I’m late but you misspelled something. It says “best part” not “trombone part”

We played this in pep babd and i was the only one that played the melody at the same time as being mic'd up as well. My band director gave me the best look in the world when i played it.

Everyone’s talking about playing this at something fun like pep band or marching band,, and I’m out here playing it for our concert (if corona goes away) like our other classical arrangements. We’re also playing on the edge of glory by lady Gaga

How does he play the G like that in the trumpet solo? It sounds like he is bending the note or something like that.
