I watched ALF as a kid, I was 5, and my parents had to get me the ALF doll...I slept with it for 2 years. I loved him, and the reason I remember him so well is because my dad got it on VHS ❤ My kid doesn't have that kind of fun, there are no shows who's characters we truly love 💔

2:15 Pause- left side: end of the set wall and a light rig! I was about Benji’s age then when this aired and didn’t know about errors, besides so I only JUST noticed this. Must’ve watched the opening a hundred times in my life. Reminded me of the Honeymooners skit on Cavalcade of Stars (before it was its own show) where the kitchen set walls come apart and for a few seconds the crew can be seen. A classic--and sometimes underrated--series. Without the talent in front of and behind the camera, it probably would have faded out in a season or two, tops. Particularly Max Wright-his scenes with Alf could have been standard trading of wisecracks, but their interaction is convincing, effective and really funny.
