Algonquin Park 2023: DAY THREE + FOUR: Redpine Bay to Hogan Lake

In August 2023, the lads (and Brother Eric) completed a 6 day loop from Cedar Lake with campsites on Catfish, Redpine Bay (X2), Hogan, and Radiant lakes. The weather was hot for a couple days, and torrential rain for several days... basically a perfect camping trip!

Thanks for the flashbacks. I did the same (almost) route years ago, So nice to revisit it. About 3/4 of the way through the video (on Hogan), you mention "the site with the Plaque". What did you mean by that??? Thanks in advance...happy paddling...

Thanks for watching. On the old Jeff’s Map (version 6) the campsite on the western shore, halfway up Parks Bay has a note “There’s a memorial plaque at this campsite “. We did not check it out to confirm, so it may or may not still exist.

Love this route! We stayed on the same site in Leg Drop Bay. There's a similar and slightly better site on Phillip Lake, knowing Evan and beach sites. Maybe you guys stayed there, too. Looking forward to the next one!

I did notice the site on Philip lake you mentioned… and we obviously stopped for lunch on the beach. The urge to push to the beaches of Radiant was too strong, couldn’t linger on phillip too long.
