Algonquin Park 2023: DAY TWO - Catfish Lake to Redpine Bay

In August 2023, the lads (and Brother Eric) completed a 6 day loop from Cedar Lake with campsites on Catfish, Redpine Bay (X2), Hogan, and Radiant lakes. The weather was hot for a couple days, and torrential rain for several days... basically a perfect camping trip!

Another great video guys! I love the banter. I am going to try and get more of that in my videos. I haven't hit these lakes yet. I can't wait to add them to the roster. It would be awesome to be able to say I have traveled almost all of Algonquin one day. I am looking forward to part 3! Again, awesome job.

Yeah, we have been there a couple times now… and on this trip we decided to schedule a rest day there as well. Thankful we did,,, we found out first hand how flooded it gets during heavy rain and wind!

Perfect paddling conditions for day's 1 & 2. The 2 camera setup from each paddling pair makes the video flow nicely.

You guys had a beauty of a day for that section! We were paddling into the wind that whole day on our trip. It was brutal. Looks like a nice island site! Did you like it?

This was by far the nicest paddle we have ever had in this section. That campsite on Redpine is close to the top of the Greatest Campsite of all Time list.

I could not agree more… portages are the gateways to the beautiful interior. Doesn’t mean a little grumbling isn’t expected haha
