Algonquin Park - Rock Lake to Pen Lake. September 9-12, 2022

Taplay Outdoors and friends travel to Algonquin Provincial Park for a Early Fall boys Canoe trip September 9-12, 2022. We travel from the Rock Lake Access Point #9 down to Pen Lake for 3 nights and 4 days. We explore the area checking out Picographs, travelling to a back lake in search for the Native Algonquin Brook Trout. Then travel to the South end of Pen Lake to explore the falls coming from Clysdale Lake.
We eat well, have great weather, and share good times with friends.

8:10 went to Penn Lake on the weekend. Got this site because of your video. Fire pit still looked closer to what you left it than what you found it! Lots of clean grills hanging off to the side too.

Heading out there soon and found your channel. Was planning to check out that “secret lake” as well. I gotta ask, how were the clams? I’ve never tried but had a buddy cook one up, he nearly threw it up… maybe his prep was wrong, said it was full of sand. Thanks for sharing your trip.

Great video. Me and my buddies are looking at the same trip this fall. Did you scope out any other sites or is campsite 6 pretty great? I’ve got 8 in my group. Is it a big site?
