Nelly never said that Ali begged, persuaded or strongly try to convince the other lunatics to sign the bad contract. He said Ali was their leader who read the books about the music industry so they trusted him and his judgment.

Salute to Ali,,for working hard to try to get his Ns on,,and much respect to the Peabodys housing projects in St.Louis,,I went there back in the early 90s with some St.Louis homies that I knew,,and they showed me much love even though I was from California...Also just for the record,,when I went to the Peabodys it was over 100 Ns outside posted on the basketball courts deep asf,,and I saw 3 fights in less than an hour...definitely one of the hardest projects I ever seen fa$ho...Respect

Long story short Ali had the group sign a bunch of bad deals were the record company would own all of the publishing etc... And Nelly was skeptical about signing the record label only wanted Nelly and Nelly made the record label give the st lunatics deals as well that they all messed up and pretty much Ali is pissed because Nelly was the one who blew up and all these years later he's still sour.

You have to think he was signed to D2 Entertainment a small indy label in St Louis. Pre 2000 there were only two hip hop artist (Slyk Smoov and Tab) to sign major record deals. Nobody had blown up in St Louis as an hip hop artist. They didnt know Nelly was going to blow like that so thats why they charged him $75k for the publishing. Shame on them! These friends need to forget the differences and remain friends. In society we always give attention to feuds and drama.
