Thanks alot Ali. Personaly, as I myself am becoming more and more of an "adult" i guess the value that I personally get from you're super honest videos. Very few people come out and talk about the actual problems their business is facing or they are facing personally. Everyone wants to pretend that they have it all figured out when it’s completely not true! So you coming out and speaking about your learnings and ‘failures’ and actually being honest and even acknowledging that you lack certain skills is very commendable! Do keep making such authentic videos along with your usual productivity ones!

I’m a freelance web developer and I must confess that I didn’t watch all your videos recently. It didn’t seem useful to me. The most useful takeaway from this video is that it's perfectly fine to fail. The process of failing helps you gain insight that you wouldn't have gotten if you hadn't tried in the first place, and that's where real growth comes from. Thanks for the vid Ali - this was great!

🍀I thought 40 minutes was too long but here I am. Thank you for such authenticity and vulnerability, these are all qualities that make you unique Ali. And even though your growth is so much bigger than most of us can relate with you always make it relatable and transparent. That transparency is precious and allows us to appreciate the work and decisions that goes into the content you've created for us. So its the consistency that brings us back, not necessarily the productivity content but your qualities of authenticity and vulnerability no matter what the topic is. 🍀So rock on Ali

You usually are this positive , carefree kind of person , and it was surprising that you showed us that like most of us, you haven't really got it all figured out. The video was plain riveting btw- I watched from start to to finish. And yes you do have the unique strength 🍀

Thank you for this video. It’s not often you see people talk honestly about the “failures”. I started my own business this year and have had so many challenges that I had no idea to expect because everyone I know who has similar businesses just gloss over all the little details of start up in our niche field. I talked with many people before choosing to quit my 9-5 job and chase this business and they were all like, yeah you just do this this and this and you’ll be golden. But then all the this this and this were huge time sinks and obstacles I felt I had to navigate alone because everyone else made it seem like none of these things were issues for them. Your videos have been so encouraging and helpful for me! Thank you!

The specific events themselves may not be ones that most people would encounter, but your reflection and recovery from these 'failures' really help model how one can approach 'failure' constructively and end up walking away with more wisdom from the experience. 🍀 great hearing about the differences between goals 2 years ago vs today, my level is significantly lower than yours but still, those next steps feel the same. One of the most reassuring things when learning from larger creators like yourself is that those feelings around work are universal. 🍀Hi Ali. I was on the PTYA (4) in my first year of my YT journey (I am just coming to the end of my 2nd year). Your YT advice has always been very valuable to me from the beginning, and I consume your YT and Podcast content. This video feels very much back to the authentic and 'real' Ali that inspired me so much at the start of my journey. I am just getting started on YT but I have been in business for 30 years building two national retail brands amongst other things. It took me the best part of those 30 years to realise what you have learned in the last year and vocalised in this video. I am happier now in my YT life than I have been in any other aspect of my work life even, when compared to when I was making £m's when things were going well. Authentic you is the way forward. Fairly new subscriber here! What I love about your channel is that no matter what career any of us are in, we can speak to your positivity, productivity, and most of all, your authenticity. You have just described all of the feelings that us small business owners go through, and hope to achieve, grow and scale. For me, the best thing I got from this particular video is that we should frame our failures like lessons and view our projects in our business like experiments, collect data, and slowly change directions accordingly. It is so easy to attach our emotions to our business, but looking at it from a more data-based and logical perspective helps to make more cohesive decision. Thank you, as always, for such an insightful video. 🍀🍀🍀

🍀I am your follower based out of Toronto. Previously I used to watch videos to be inspired which I did, however over time I felt hard to cope up with all the productivity tips and I felt guilty for not being to sustain the best practices for self discipline and time management. Watching your video today and the vulnerability you showed that you as an influencer could also take these learnings/ failures in your stride really makes me proud. We all are humble humans trying to help ourselves and each other. Some years are all about the highs and some will be remembered for the lows. Both are equally important I would think. My take away from this video is never undervalue the thinking time and the need to pause and reflect before taking the plunge and acting on anything. This actually very interesting, I love the part in which you describe the type of business and targets you aim for, and I can see that this is the type of business arrangement that suits your personal identity, regardless of me disagreeing on your planning approach 😊

☘ very useful stuff, Ali. I think the fact that you make yourself so vulnerable, makes the video very relatable, regardless of the different financial, business, or life challenges anyone watching may have. Appreciate very much your content, keep it up, man 👏🏻👏🏻

🍀 I like these from the heart, authentic videos. Especially like hearing about the decision to focus on lifestyle rather than growth in business. But I also enjoy your shorter videos.. please just keep creating! Thanks Ali.

This is probably my favorite video of yours so far. So freaking useful. I feel like there are 15 blog posts in here.

🍀 I can't believe the extent to which my situation resembles yours. I've been an entrepreneur for 6,5 years now and I've struggled with the same things as you, and have arrived at the same conclusions. Hearing some of those rather unpopular opinions really helps and confirms that there is no universal approach - it should all be tailored according to the person, team, business, etc. The thing with the book - absolutely the same here, too! My book is almost finished and somehow there is no time left for it, even though it's super promising. Thank you for this video, Ali, from the bottom of my heart!
