Did himselves no favours tearing his shirt off. He wasn't a well man back then with the drink thing going on. But he beat it, he won. And I've seen him in concert back end of 09 and he looks good, sounds great and is loving it. True legend. Anybody that hasn't seen Alice in concert is missing out. Theres nothing out there like him, and nothing coming thru either. So if you get the chance to see him, take it. Absolutely Brilliant.

I think a lot of bands liked playing in Detroit because of their history in music. Cactus was a part Detroit band with Jimmy Mcarty on guitar and Rusty Day on vocals both Detroit rockers. I remember May of 1971 when school was out for summer, and I was ready to go to the seventh grade. Never seen Alice live in concert but he was the very first to put on a theatrical type show. This cat was out there for a long time, now he claims his Christianity. He is the legend when it comes to the hard rock style music. I remember in that same Fall of the year after summer vacation is when he came out with Billion Dollar Babies? That LP had all our parents saying he was the Antichrist? He was out there.

Us old guys remember this period. I always thought he was on some weird hyper drug even when I was a kid cause he looked different and acted different too. I thought the band played really sloppy when I saw this show in '79. He said the same exact words as when I saw him in Portland. If Alice has ever had a bad night it's probably still twice as good as most others. I guess I wanted to say it's not as though I've never seen this before because...I have :)

Studio albums weren’t bad. I quite like the fact they were so bonkers!

Exhibit A for no bass solos. I hope he’s managed to live down the embarrassment.

The Coop kind of reminds me of a drunk game show host here.

I saw Alice and the band this past August. They closed with School's Out and snuck in some Pink Floyd Another Brick in the Wall with it. Pretty awesome show.

This show as awesome... Shame it never made it to DVD! Likewise, the slightly later Special Forces era AC is notable by its absence from DVD... The Paris Special would be most welcome!

The title of the video is totally misleading, the band had already played schools out for the most part, this is just a extended band introduction/jam, which he still does though somewhat less chaotically
