Thanks for a great, informative interview. Around the 1 hour mark, Neal is asked and names his 2 favourite AC (Group) tracks he's drummed on; he picked My Stars and Generation Landslide. Both 2 are among my favourite songs on their respective albums and it makes sense to me that Neal chose them. Neal has named the School's Out album as his favourite that the Original Group did, and GL was (as he states) the last song written for BDB so it's kind of a 'standout' song for that reason.

TWELVE YEARS OLD, my parents were out for the evening FINALLY I was going to get to see my hero on national TELEVISION LIVE ! 1972 I believe....man I was more excited than Christmas!! .....and guess what....the NETWORK BANNED IT. At the last minute too....my heart sank as I sat there stunned, watching a prerecorded Black Sabbath concert instead !! 😢 He came to my town that year and Mom wouldn't let me go !! I resented her for months but at Christmas, she got me Love it to Death and Kiss first album, so I forgave her a little....People my age in the town STILL talk about that show....In 2013 he came BACK to the SAME theater (The Keith Albee, in Huntington W.V.) with Orianthi....man, it was all I hoped it would be.... even did an incredible version of Muscle of Love....appropriately I brought that album at age 14.....ahhh, changes

Was that the ABC in concert...when Alice came out with a beer and put his t-shirt under his chin and started freaking out ? My older girl cousin's friend had to tell me about it...she saw it somehow and told me the details...you're not alone pal...at least you can watch it now in peace...I think it's the Hofstra university concert that was in Nov '72 ! just bought a remastered scools out cd , after losing all my old vinyl in a storage shed debacle around 2k , needless to say i am enjoying this reaquaintance process immensely, hard to believe i saw the original tour and it's over 50 frikkin years ago, yet this album has aged incredibly well , in my mind a masterwork , the band was just incredible , and dude that drumming , it is beyond perfection , can't wait to finish listening to this interview

Love AC. Polio vaccine is created differently than c-19 shot. But yeah, I guess polio was brutal. My mom said her best friend was in iron lung. Her brother got it in his legs, same thing bad diagnosis, but said their mom would exercise his legs every day, eventually walked again. Was a Marine during Vietnam.

I became a fan of Alice Cooper when my mom bought a book about Alice Cooper at a rummage sale and gave it to me. She bought the book because she knew Neal and Cindy Smith in a Sunday school class in Sharon Center, OH. Read the book, bought the (early) albums and hooked for life; thanks Mom!
