This song and the entire album is a masterpiece. When this CD came out it did not leave my CD player for a month! I bought the one that came with the comic book and Alice signed both at Kmart in Pontiac. He is the nicest guy you will ever meet.

OK. I'm an Atheist. Alice said he recorded a trilogy of albums that were xian related (Last Temptation, Brutal Planet, and Dragontown), BUT he never outright made references so everyone could enjoy them and not feel preached to. He let people figure it out for themselves. This song meant one thing to me, then I read about that. In that light, "Me" can be Jesus, or anyone. I fucking love Alice.

Looking back, this album was exactly what Alice needed to slide past the grunge years in popular music. Everything worked really well in the hair metal years and having a concept album and comic book for this record worked out so well; found a great little niche for these few years to keep fan rolling until we dark alternative metal bubbled up from below. Still stayed relevant. Also, I think I heard Steven Tyler singing back up in the "yeah yeah yeahs" there.
