Alice recorded four consecutive classic albums, "Love it to Death", "Killer', "School's Out", and "Billion Dollar Babies" from 1971-1973. I had the pleasure of seeing them four times in the early '70s and every show was incredible. "Luney Tune" is dynamite. Hope to hear "Under My Wheels", "Caught in a Dream", "Long Way to Go", "My Stars", "Public Animal #9", "Hello Hooray", "Generation Landslide". Great stuff, every one.

Not underrated at all, on the contrary.

@@edvinlaine the *song* School’s Out is entirely overplayed. I just think there’s great songs on the album itself that never get the time of day.

To answer your question, yes that was a violin. All these early Alice Cooper albums that were produced by Bob Ezrin always have an orchestral element in most of the songs. Schools Out is my favorite of the Alice Cooper Groups albums. It's gritty yet bright and loaded with jazz elements. It's always been my opinion that it's their tribute to West Side Story.

A deep cut, awesome! It's got this creepy menace, but somehow funny too - "And who are these scary men?"

I would be pleased to hear you get into the exploration of full albums. It's the way the artist intended his work to be heard to get the full experience. Also, sometimes the best songs are the hidden gems in the album cuts as opposed to the radio hits.

Oh yeah - definitely dive into full album Alice reactions! He (they) are the kings of concept albums, so you get a much richer storyline doing the whole thing. There are even multiple albums linked to single story lines.

I don't think you've done "School's Out" yet. That may be his biggest hit. We played it at the end of each school year, and it really got our juices flowing, anticipating summertime without school. We even played it in college. What fun!

A fave "Desperado" and whole side B of Love it to Death.. OhYa, the album "From the Inside" carries the insane assylum theme on. Great album- every track #NurseRozetta

Definitely an underrated album. Back in the day, I used to only really like the title track but through the years, this album grew on me. It’s so different from their other albums. You should totally do the whole album and also do Love it To Death. If you’re interested in what Alice’s band sounds like today, check out his Detroit Stories album which released 2 years ago. Recorded in his hometown of Detroit with Detroit players. Very hard rock, plus a blues tune and even a Motown track called $1000 High Heeled Shoes, which may be my favorite on there. Such a dope album.

I love Alice! My daughter is 30, and she loves him! I'm from Michigan. And when i used to sell at a flea market with my mom a woman came to our table and was buying jewelry for him! This would have been in the 70's. My mom was an antique dealer and she had lots of cool jewelry!

This lp was an homage to their high school days. They name dropped their teacher in the song, Alma Mater, which you definitely have to check out. The album is sort of a fantasy, where school is like a prison to all of us who went! 😂✌🏼
