I think he described a little bit his own experience as a rockstar. The press (newspapers) wrote ridiculous things about him. They even said he would be a satanist. In fact Alice is a Christian, so are his children and his wife. His father was a pastor and a missionary. His wife's father is a pastor, too. They supported their children from the beginning. Alice said he and his former band members used to read the newspaper saying to each other: "Let's see, what we have done yesterday." Song request: "Only women bleed", live version. The live version shows even more the severity of that topic.

Mad respect for Alice Cooper, who is 74 years old... (this song is from 1973) and he still records... still tours (he has a 3-guitar band that includes female guitarist Nita Strauss) and still commands the stage better than most young bands today. On top of that, he recently formed the band Hollywood Vampires w/ actor Johnny Depp on guitar, and Aerosmith's guitarist Joe Perry... Alice Cooper inspired most hard rock/ heavy metal artists like Kiss, Iron Maiden, Motley Crue, Marilyn Manson, Rob Zombie, Lordi, GWAR, etc. etc.

Indeed. He is the greatest. You can tell from how pretty much all rock stars want to or have already collaborated with him.

You know you're probably not going to be around long, and unfortunately you get scared and frustrated at the reminder. You were an innocent bystander who saw a need. Please don't take it personally. A man I knew became racist when older. Before, he chose to live in a diversified suburb & had black friends at work, home & the club. One day, in a mini-mart, he was hateful to two black men & I thought he was in trouble. Instead they were kind, called him "pops", & held the door for him because he used a cane. Next day I took him to vote & a black couple in line made arrangements for us to vote from my car. After these two random acts of kindness, his attitude got better. He had delusional fears more so than hatred. During this time he started constantly watching a show he used to dislike, Fox News. When he quit that & got back to baseball & movies, he was much better, less anxious & afraid. You did the right thing, trying to assist the elderly couple. If you declined, they would've probably gotten huffy because you didn't. Sometimes a small act of kindness CAN literally make more than just someone's day.

Many years ago, I opened the door for a young woman as I entered a dining hall, she worked in the bakery and had her arms full of pastries. She turned to me and said “I don’t need you to open the door for me just because I’m a woman “. I told her I did it because her hands were full to which I responded “I did it because your hands were full”, and she had to say she didn’t believe me, this was back in the 80’s, found out she was a militant feminist. Anyway Biz, if you ever get a chance to see Alice live, go! It’s a whole theatrical production and always a great show with top notch musicians.

You should react to the whole record. From the Inside. In the mid 70s Alice checked himself into rehab for alcohol. He turned that experience into a concept album. All of the songs on the record are different characters in an insane asylum and their stories. Alice the character met them when he was committed. The opening track is Alice's story. It's a short album but well worth your time. Whether you react to it or not just listen to it. The song I requested below is off of it

Alice Cooper's name is actually Vince Furnier and the band was named Alice Cooper, The band was called The Nazz but Alice Cooper found out Todd Rundgren's band was The Nazz. The had to come up with a different name and because they were a crazy out there band Vince said people would think they would use a crazy name so he said let's use a sweet little old aunt name so that's when the came up with Alice Cooper. Vince said people started calling him Alice Cooper so in 1975 he officially changed his name to Alice Cooper. His father was a pastor that loved all kinds of music and listened to music everyday and that's how he got the music bug, he's father-in-law was also a pastor. Just a little fun fact I thought you would enjoy, thanks for reacting to the music I grew up with in my crazy teens. Vince Fuenier said people that his name was Alice Cooper so in 1975 he changed his name to Alice Cooper. Ok, Biz, Alice is the original shock rocker. Many bands such as Kiss, Rob Zombie, Marilyn Manson and many others got their inspiration from Alice. He puts on great stage shows that are part horror, part comedy and all rock. Back in the day, he was even banned from playing in certain countries. There were write ups in the papers and magazines that said he was sick and obscene. (it made him that much more popular!) so No more Mr. Nice Guy was his rebutal. 😀 Anyway, he has some great songs that I would love to see you react to, first try, I'm Eighteen, Under My Wheels, Halo of Flies, Ballad of Dwight Fry and Muscle of Love. These are a good start to the Alice Cooper rabbit hole! Love your reactions Biz and never left racist idiots get you down. You still continue to be you!

"Im not black, but sometimes i wish i could say im not white" So sry for that situation Biz. However i love your journey into original Alice Cooper Band, i was a kid and was so into Alice im sure much of my humor and critic can be traced right back to these days ♥ >>> At this very moment i cant recall any specific moments of dissapointment, though there sure are a bunch, but im the classic "No more.." always been listen to elders and tried to follow the wiseness and my own impressions... thats where i slowly gone from a good n nice guy to a cynic..it start become so bad im really "Falling Down".. *Falling Down - 1981 starring Michael Douglas and is my forever fav movie...and i may be the living sequel 🤕
