I just wish that interviews would be done without background music... weve been listening for years to heavy metal and wouldnt you have a hard time hearing certain voices like Mikes at this point. . I took the time to watch the video. But i want to hear it as well

@bigmonkeyman44 i think jerry just does what he wants... have you ever even listened to rotten apple?? i think theres probably more awesome solos in that song than any of their stuff. and its with inez... mike had some brutal bass lines but mike has more complex stuff like "a little bitter" and even the bass for nutshell is pretty inventive for a song that style... jerry has just evolved. i like they way he solos now. its less about flash and more about fitting the song and telling a story

@JadaBlaze01 I don't know of a way to read it online, unfortunately. I have heard bad reviews of it also but I myself liked it. Mike asked the guy to write it for him. Mike wanted his story in book form, but he wasn't an author, so he found this guy. It does include interviews from other people, but a large part of it is Mike telling the story himself. It's possible that he's lying, but I tend to believe him because he doesn't glam everything up. He tells the nasty side of things too.

MsJilsephonie I don't agree at all. AIC has always been Jerry's band. He's was and is the main songwriter for the band. Some of the lyrics were Layne's but Jerry provided all the music. There is no reason to stop calling themselves AIC. Layne wasn't fired, he died. They need to move on. Even with a different name it will still sound AIC even without Layne just for the simple fact that Jerry is there. If you were true fans you'd respect their decision to move forward.

MsJilsephonie, Alice N Chains was Layne's band, Alice IN Chains is Jerry's band...Although, Layne came up with name he never used it, because it sounded like female bondage. Jerry wanted to start a new band and suggest to his friend, Layne, why not use the original name you wanted? It's history from then on...It sucks without Layne's signature deep growl, but it would equally suck without Jerry's higher pitched wailing and killer guitar playing.
