Layne was without a doubt a great singer, but one cannot forget that Jerry wrote the majority of the lyrichs of this great band, and he is a fantastic guitar player. He is very underrated in my modest opinion. AIC rules. Period

He wrote lots of lyrics. He only composed a couple of sings. he wrote the lyrics To Man In The Box, Sea of Sorrow, Real Thing, and Love Hate Love just off of Facelift.. The latter two I'd say are the best songs in that album
@emotionallyexhausted14105 жыл бұрын
@@user-xr8li8sr4n Are you high?? Or by "songs" do you only mean music? Jerry's amazing, and he wrote most of AIC's music, yes. But without lyrics, I'm sure we'd all be asking who the hell was Alice and why was she all chained up. Credit where it's due, Layne wrote ALL of the lyrics for Man in the Box, Love Hate Love, Confusion, Real Thing, Rain When I Die, Sickman, Junkhead, Dirt, God Smack, Rotten Apple, Nutshell, I Stay Away, Swing on This, Brush Away, Sludge Factory, Again, Shame in You, God Am, So Close, Nothin' Song, Frogs, Get Born Again, and Died. He wrote both music and lyrics to Head Creeps, Angry Chair and Hate to Feel. Layne also wrote nearly all the lyrics on Mad Season's Above. Including River of Deceit, Wake Up, X-Ray Mind, Artificial Red, Lifeless Dead, I Don't Know Anything, November Hotel & All Alone. Long Gone Day was co-written by Barret Martin, Mike McCready, Mark Lanegan, and Layne Staley.
