Alice Pack LC2 improved straps

Added a set of improved straps to the get home bag and thought I might go over some of the differences between the old and new.

I know I'm super late, but leaving this info anyway. The regular shoulder straps have the fasteners sewed in upside down, so that's the way you have to use them. On the LC2 improved straps they are mounted "right side up", since they are not sewn in and you CAN place them right side up to be able to pull on the protruding webbing to tighten them up while wearing the pack, and why wouldn't you mount it that way if you can? (Every youtube video I saw about them canonically has people speaking about how they are mounted "right side up" unlike all the other models as well..) That being said I eventually will mount mine upside down as well using my sewing machine to sew them in. I can always cut the seam to repair if needed anyways. After all I am very sceptical about that loop connection of the webbings. The reason to sew them upside down is because you have to fiddle the non-buckle part through the pack (and frame eventually) and it's more practical having that end loose while the fastener stays in place.

Thanks for the info. They certainly don't seem to be as rugged as the original straps. I have replaced them all with MOLLE II straps anyhow for more comfort.

Would you happen to have a guide on how to attach these? I just bought a medium Alice Pack from a surplus store and these straps online as the pack doesn’t have them but I have no idea how they attach

@@Billofthenorth1 i searched all over, but every time it's 38 bucks for a single one side straps. I managed to come across a few decrepit ones in Vietnam that really needs some repairs on the quick release buckles and missing straps. If you can point me to a good deal.

kinda wish they made repro for these kinda straps instead of the original LC2.
