@@echobucket Hmm... fair point, though I generally wouldn't substitute the word "reason" for "cause" when discussing a cause that is not directed by an act of will by a reasoning being. But that's just me. Now that I think about it, "reason" has a lot of definitions.

He still performs, he's on tour in 2022. Tim's an absolute genius. Met him at a lounge bar back in 2018, i'm an astrophysicist and i couldn't keep up with him. You're left in awe of his intelligence.

He is AMAZING live, have seen him a couple of times, just the best. He's got shows coming up in 2022 in Sydney / Brisbane etc but they sell out in minutes. If you are lucky enough to get a ticket to see his show, be prepared to get blown away. So great to see people discovering the genius that is Tim, thank you!

@@Aliceingingerland He stopped for a while when he was living in the US, wrote movie music, a broadway musical or two etc. He's been back in Aus for a few years and did his tour called 'Back - OLD SONGS, NEW SONGS, FUCK YOU SONGS' lol. I saw him here in Melbs, super hard getting the ticket, in the end he did 5 or 6 back to back shows as they kept getting sold out!!! He is currently touring the UK, but that's not helpful to us haha. Also he did a tv show called Upright for Foxtel, haven't seen it yet but heard excellent things. Gorgeous talented humble human, making WA proud :)

I remembered that Tim also had a copyright problem in one of his videos on the official channel. It was in fact in the official version of 'confessions' (about, 6.20 min.). His handling of the situation was quite in his style. Highly recommended. Greetings from the other side of the world!

Fun fact: Tim also wrote (or at least co-wrote) the lyrics to all the songs of both the Matilda musical and the -Beetlejuice- Groundhog musical (especially in the -Beetlejuice- Groundhog musical Tim's influence can be heard through so very clever lines)

@@Aliceingingerland @Alice in Gingerland he does still do live performances. The thing about comments is it can get like any other gossip distorted by the number of people it has gone through. He had not done live shows in the E.U. in quite awhile and never did that many in the USA and Canada. Just busy with other projects since he isn't just a touring comedian and Covid and the bush fires interfered of course. He was touring in Oz when Covid quarantine hit for example. The tour is called "Back". Tim hadn't done alot of touring in the 4 years he lived in Los Angeles and was producing his animated film that got shut down when DreamWorks was bought by Universal Studios. If you're looking for ideas of more clever musical comedy to react to, you may enjoy Flo and Joan. I recommend A Song for Anti-Vaxers, Drank Too Much, and Why Why Why Why. For a content rabbit-hole that will take you quite a while to exhaust you could react to songs from Crazy Ex-Girlfriend. Just about any song from season 1-2 are brilliantly hilarious. Try Settle For Me, Sexy Getting Ready Song, Sexy Stranger, Heavy Boobs, Tapped That Ass, You Go First, Fit Hot Guys Have Problems Too, Let's Have Intercourse, Never Have Problems Again...and so many more, those are just the ones I can think of off the top of my head. They don't need the context of story to enjoy. And I dare you not to enjoy them.

Hey Alice, the difference between you and the others that reacted to "Thank you God" is you are playing it back to back without any pause. The others are stopping the video and commenting. This might be why you got the copyright warning and the others didn't. You can try to do it once again and try to pause the video and add some comments. You should try his song "not perfect". I think it is one of his best. Also I wonder if the reason your video keeps getting flagged is because of the venue of the version for the video. I believe if it is considered to threaten sales of dvds or albums then it gets flagged but it's hard to tell and arbitrary bullshit. Maybe find a different venue version of thank you god and see if that gets flagged as well.
