The fact they have the beginning of the short animation start off as the classic Disney cartoons with the harmonized singing and credits was wonderful. THIS is what Disney was supposed to do. Hopefully we can donate and they can make this into an actual movie, I love it so so much, this was a sign for everyone where if we want something done right, we have to invest in the right people to make it happen, this video has shown me we can no longer depend on Disney to make our fairytales, they no longer care what the audience wants, they no longer care in creating stories that will make our children think about them for years to come, stories that the whole family can enjoy. We have to start putting our attention and money to new platforms, it’s only fair. EXACTLY!! This is word for word what I've been thinking for MONTHS! It's very clear that Disney does not care about making art and being creative anymore, all they want is money! I am so glad that there are so many independent filmmakers and animators out there who actually care about what they do and I'm hopeful that the Disney empire will fall soon enough and all these amazing independent creators can finally be in the spotlight!! We can make it happen quickly if we invest in them collectively!!!

@@Oceanblue769 As much as I would love for that to happen, I think it's unlikely, unfortunately. They're a mega-corporation now, a commercial empire. They'll probably never go back to making art mainly for the pleasure of making art. Maybe I'm wrong and I hope that I am! But maybe if we focus our attention on independent creators, it will be a wake up call for them! In any case, it would be a win because we'd get quality content, wether it's solely from indie filmmakers and animators or from them and Disney if they finally decide to listen to the demands of the public.

Truly a spectacular 25 minutes! I’m already so invested in Alicia and her story. The opening was a charming nod to some of Disney’s older works with the use of title cards and story book imagery and I definitely feel that same spark of magic. Your ’inspiration’ is apparent but it’s also still very unique and has a modern and relatable feel due to the realistic depiction of the everyday life for normal people with jobs who have to work to live and pay for rent vs the 1%. I love the Disney villain couple and my only note would be about the queen. I enjoyed her spoiled tantrum but I think it conflicts with her more levelheaded and reasonable self when talking with the king. I wouldn’t want to lose that scene with the servants or her characterization of being spoiled and materialistic. I think keeping the initial outburst of periwinkle vs lilac is perfect but then follow it with a quieter disgruntled rant something akin to Miranda from Devil wears Prada still commanding but more restrained. That is of course just my opinion and doesn’t deter from anything you lovely people had made. I’m eager to see more!

Could I add an idea? I was unsure of whether the main action of this preview was happening in the darkened kingdom or the kingdom that still had its star, so I’d suggest clarifying that somehow. Whether showing the lighted sky kingdom in the background of the opening musical sequence or maybe some characters making a reference to how Alicia has to get home early because the light from the single star of their kingdom is dimming all the time thanks to the darkness of the kingdom below. I know that the characters refer to the kingdom they’re in by name, but the audience might not remember the 2 intricate names of the kingdoms after only just learning which is which one time in the opening, so I’d strongly recommend reinforcing which kingdom we’re in so there’s no confusion. This was a stunning amount of work being done by such a small, dedicated team! I really see the passion you have for this story, so I wanted to help in this little way, hopefully not overstepping as a rando in the comments section 😁 Good luck on producing the rest of this film!! 💝

Why would grandparents/parents let their kids give their dreams to Magnifico when they know how unlikely it is for him to choose their dream?)

One of the pros I have is the art direction! For example, I literally screamed when I first saw the thumbnail! It reminds me of a book cover! This is greattttt! The song shows her character and a bit of world building. Where as wishes opening song was purely world building exposition. Alicia has character! It's so great to see!! She is positive but "keeping bitter thoughts out of mind" so she is choosing to focus on the good. She works really hard, and is determined. She cares about the people around her, the animals, even the stars. But she also yells at the goat- showing she is capable of slipping up, where as in wish Asha didn't have any other emotions than 'quirky girl in a frantic state'. The king and queen are perfect opposites to Alicia. They are greedy where as Alicia is humble and trying to make ends meet. They are selfish where as Alicia cares. They are also just better than the "villain" in Wish. I had no clue what his deal was in wish. ALSO YALL SLAYED IN THE ANIMATION, VOICE ACTING, MUSIC, AND ALL THE OTHER STUFF. Keep it up!!!!!!

not even into watching the animatic portion yet and just all your voice variation through your intro. I really hope you're voicing some of the background characters yourself. You really sound like you have some great potential as a voice actor just as amazing as you are an animator.

I’m so happy and so overjoyed that this has turned into in actual reality! I haven’t even seen the Wish movie since the trailer came out, it didn’t fill me with excitement like other Disney movies had, but this project ❤❤❤❤❤ I’m more than grateful for to you and the whole team!!! I’m eleven minutes in and I’m already hooked. The Good Morning song was lovely and hit all my nostalgia buttons. The glimpses I have of this world show me that the citizens of this kingdom are oppressed worker bees and that they definitely have to pay taxes and rent. I like this because despotic villains should not be ruling a Utopian kingdom. Also, the baby goat is mischievous and destructive but also charming. You’re doing great, sweeties!

the fact that disney took years to create the atrocious movie that is wish compared to this amazing rewrite with catchy music, actually good voice acting and an INFINITELY better script, is so impressive??? and you put so much life into this story aswell, even though only half of the animatic is produced, i find myself coming back to rewatch it, bravo. seriously, (pinkmachine & everyone else involved) remember to take breaks aswell because this must be exhausting
