I think her marrying Swizz got people more focused on how they got together rather than her music. Ian gone lie after her second album I stopped listening to her. I wasn’t feeling her music after that second album. She’s very talented but when people bring up female r&b they never mention her.

I agree with you on the Swizz and marriage part. Being a huge fan of hers I’d recommend you give some of her other albums a try. “As I Am” and “The Element of Freedom” are two of her best bodies of work in my opinion. Another reason I think people sleep on her is that fact that she makes cohesive bodies of work meaning well put together albums and in todays era of music everyone focuses on hot single releases. One thing I respect about her is she never changed up or felt the need to fit it with the wave but yet still makes current and quality sounding music.
