McKayla's vaulting is a lot different than Alicia's vaulting, and they are both worl champions on it

I love the attitude she has when she sticks the landing. so confidant :]
@ronaround74 Жыл бұрын
Tim Daggett always made such a hash of explaining why Alicia did two vaults. How hard would it have been to just say something like, "to qualify for vault event finals at the Olympics, an athlete has to show two different vaults in team prelims" instead of...whatever Tim tried saying 😜
@saragrant97497 ай бұрын
If Tim didn’t take that much time to explain the reason for the two vaults, he’d have a bunch of empty air time he wouldn’t know what to do with lol.

yes, it could be called that :) a rudi is basically just a front layout with one and a half twists. it's also called a rudi on floor too :)

she has the best Chusovitina vault in my opinion. even better than Giulia's
@tesspizana12 жыл бұрын
it's a front plant vault, meaning front handspring on the horse. after she does the plant she does a one and a half twist. and her other vault is called a double twisting yurchenko

this leotard is almost exactly the same as the one she wore at the 2010 visa championships. she must like purple

wow she's more than her own body length above the table!!
@BravesGurl198313 жыл бұрын
@harrypottersgymnast yeah, the girl landing on her knees and still beating Alicia was ridiculous! If start value is what counts why not just throw the hardest trick you can and not even worry about landing it? lol

'That girl' is Cheng Fei, the only woman in history, the first person in history, and one of the only two people in history to have three consecutive world vault titles to her name. She would have without a question won if it wasn't for her fall, and it's not as if she had any control of the scores.

@Stonymypony totally agree! And after Nationals, I thought Sam P was a shoo-in....I wish they would have named those 5 at Trials [I know that never will happen, but I would have wanted Chellsie, Alicia, and Sam to breathe esy about being on the team and just concentrate on the Olympics and not have to "prove" themselves anymore....]

alicia is way better on vault then shawn and nastia...
@hmrhuang3 жыл бұрын
That's because she's way stronger and more powerfully built than those two. Those are HUGE advantages in vaulting and floor exercise.
