Yeah, I believe Gordon has gone on record saying how fucking depressing this series is for him in retrospect because of how many places just fell right back into old habits, threw out the new furnishings they gave them, and just all around did not last.

To be fair, most of these places were baaically on the edge of bankrupcy before Gordon ever showed up or the owners were so incompetent there was nothing ANYONE could do Sometimes its just better to let nature take its course and let the ship sink.

Threw out? Didn’t even sell them?? It makes me angry. You have someone who has done everything better then you have ever done and ego and laziness makes them believe it’s alright to waste a chance that many others would use. That said, for every miserable person, there’s many who take advantage of it and do better. Hotel Chester and Layla’s riverside lodge from HH and the lobster place from NJ episode are some stand outs

It’s something I heard from a lot of people work and jobs. We need a lot of empathy. Social work, nursing, being a therapist. The sad truth is I think people really have to learn when to cut somebody loose and let them fail. Otherwise, you’re just gonna get overwhelmed by all the misery of watching people fail, despite your best efforts to help them. Sometimes the kid actually needs to touch the hot stove and burn their hands before they learn. I know that’s how it was with me. Sorry about the typos. I’m using Siri dictation and it doesn’t always do words good.

The wrong patterns of thought were so embedded in so many of these owners that it's just not realistic it could be fixed with a 3-day whirlwind visit from a celebrity chef. It would take weeks, months... if it were even possible at all. If the owners even want to change their practices. Which, if we're being honest, most of them don't. They just want to keep doing what they've always been doing, but have it make more money.

He used a sauce recipe from the Chef's family cookbook and was likely a reasonable guess for the original. Keep in mind that the OG kits were basically canned sauce and canned parmesan with dry spaghetti. The result would have been vastly superior to modern canned pasta. as of 2024, of all the Kitchen Nightmares episodes, only 15 are still active today, 1 with completely new owners. that being said, there are many businesses that managed to survive for years after their Episodes. so if anyone claims that Gordon did nothing good, they're professional haters, as Gordon did what he could for businesses that were months to weeks from closing. as for Tatiyana i hope that she feels bad for how badly she screwed her Mama over, granted she had the ability to say no, but she willingly gave away her home to her spoiled daughter and that's tragic.

there are lots of Tatianas in the film industry I swear. For a lot of these restaurants it us actually pretty common for a lot of them to close within a year of the show. There is the obvious fact that the producers prefer people that are just batshit insane and through movie magic just pull a save out of their ass. But there are also quite a lot of factors that the show doesn't really address or maybe even make worse. Gabi Belle did a great video about that

We saved it, made profit, changed the name and relaunched it and have been fine since. But sis? Oh she was pissed and got into a fight that landed her in being disowned, it got THAT ugly. She only got disowned because she dragged our younger brother into it and hid his medication because she paid for it; which she did but he paid her back, problem was this was medication he NEEDED and she hid it when he needed to take it. Younger brother had a massive seizure because he couldn't find his meds, smacked his head off the coffeetable before I could catch him, and when sis showed up at the hospital with the meds in her bag WITH HIS NAME ON THEM, mom pressed charges and disowned her. Brother is doing much better now that he lives with me and my fiance and is doing better at work too. As for the relaunched business my sister originally almost sank into the pits and almost cost me and mom our home and had actually cost me one of my jobs, still going even now and doing amazingly I'm proud to say. Niece (Elder estranged sister's daughter) denounced her own mother last year after her mother threw her out for coming out with her girlfriend of three years and also because my niece defended me and my fiance (We're both Genderfluid and elder sister says she's an ally but she's an "ally"; she's not an ally she just says she is for clout). Anyway, niece is part of our business too now as a branch off of it, we helped her get started and help her find places for field experience, and business has been incredible for her, even did an event and cleaned house with a list of orders. Elder sis has been trying to get niece to move back in with her, but niece ain't having it, she lives with her girlfriend and has been doing so much better mentally/emotionally/physically. Niece has a wheelchair and cane she NEEDS to use but her mother wouldn't allow her despite the girl suffering serious injuries as a result, plus she hid her own child's meds too because she "is perfectly fine and doctors are only half right, your mother knows better". Yeah, almost getting your own child killed is not good and I'm putting that LIGHT. Niece couldn't use her cane and wheelchair because her mom is WHERE she had it drilled in her head that she's too young for those things and just needs to "walk it off"... Dysautonomia combined with her other issues does NOT get better or go away, she needs her cane to stabilize herself or better her wheelchair (Don't get me wrong she does go through means to ensure she doesn't suffer atrophy, just her conditions means she can't walk or so much as stand for too long or in some cases at all). So yeah, I have a list of people I absolutely despise and will NEVER forgive for various reasons, and only five people have been on that list for the longest time and sis is at number two to tell you how badly she's messed up. (Note: Estranged sis also claims she has certain health conditions as she uses them, but she was caught in a lie on those before, plus she takes medication she does need with alcohol despite everyone telling her how stupid it is to do that; her legit medication is for her heart and again she takes it with ALCOHOL. She doesn't think conditions are legit unless SHE has them and in those cases ONLY she can have them. Have PTSD? No you're faking because she has PTSD and it's not so bad, unless you trigger her and then YOU'RE at fault. Have Dysautonomia? That's a fake disease, you made that up and oh you're 18, well you don't need a cane you're too young but I need your cane because I'm dizzy from being hungover. Just examples of how she acts.) She's toxic and a list of other things, just wish my niece didn't have to be put through this. Girl cut her off entirely, and I don't blame her, but she was HURT hurt by her mom with all this and she beats herself over it when her mom talks crap about me and mimi (My mom/niece's grandmother/nickname), but both of us are used to my sister's crap. I'm used to her trying to drag my name through the mud or intimidate me, problem is I have way more AND stronger "ammo" to use, and I WILL use it especially when my niece is involved. It's one of the reasons my estranged sister has only rarely gone after me even on social media, because I will fire right back and HARDER, with proof too. Such as when she told my niece that my name is fake and she refused to call me by it... I have photos of my court order, newspaper, all things relating to my name change, including my ID (With everything but my name blackened out). She knows she can't win in a fight with me, so she goes after who she believes is weaker, but she's learning that now that my niece is around me a LOT more, means my niece gets to see all the photos and texts and stuff I have saved, including footage; real eye-opening experience for my niece when she got to see her mom for real and not the fake she acts always around her. I don't tell my niece her mom IS this way or whatnot, nope... I hand my niece anything she needs and let her decide for herself; she lived with her for years so she can tell for herself if there's lies or stuff. Made my niece furious to learn her mom took part in an anti-pride assembly group at her local church, but I've got photos from Facebook that I grabbed as evidence along with the texts. Girl can decide for herself what to believe and who to believe, I won't decide for her nor will I give my input until after she decides with what I have to answer her questions. Girl's an adult now, and I think she appreciates someone not treating her like she's a child still or that they can control her (Doesn't live with either parent, has a job, owns a business, and in college... She is self-dependent and doing phenomenal. Of course her mom hates that, but she can't use her age over her, can't forbid her anymore, can't do anything anymore; I mean she kicked the girl out because she came out to you with her girlfriend, you can't just take that back like nothing happened). What really irks my sis is that my niece is Pagan (Heathenry; Nordic practices, and she is dead serious about it and we attended Yule with her this past year, fun stuff) while she's "Christian" (Not really religious but uses it like a weapon, as if it does anything). Sorry for the rant, but Tatiana hit a nerve rewatching her. Also R.I.P. Genevieve Gutierrez, didn't know her personally but I know she's missed.

KZbin keeps trying to recommend me other reacts to kitchen nightmares but this is literally the only one that is engaging!! Your experience in food service seriously makes these so good, I love it. Also TACO!

Yeah there was one I saw that seemed to be paying attention to the show and reacting as such some of the time, but then gets sidetracked by subs/follows/etc. without pausing and missed some stuff which, sure it happens during streaming, but at least edit it out for youtube if thanking subs/follows will take a while and detract from the content. 😅 Other than that it's been really hit or miss when it comes to the other ones I have seen.

In the vaguest bit of devils advocate, its possible she had her first moment of self awareness and wanted both to tell them what she was about to do with the head chef, but knew herself juuuust enough to know that if she stopped herself from doing it RIGHT NOW, she'd talk herself out of it.

Bar Rescue is great. Especially that episode where the host throws a huge tantrum because everyone working the night he observes the bar is drunk, unprofessional and unsanitary. He just roars in screaming "Shut it down! SHUT IT DOWWWWWWWWN!!!!" It's awesome.

In all honesty, in my opinion, chef Ramsey does exaggerate a little bit the food's faults, for 3 reasons: 1. He's more knowledgeable, better taste palette; 2. Sensationalism for the show to be better; 3. He has to, to be the savior with the new menu, throwing out the old😁 (or improving it), but you should expect that when you call him. It's not all your win for he invests time and money into you, he has to win also. I wonder why so many of these people don't get that simple fact. Once you called for his help, stay humbe and let him school you, credit he's a little harsh here and there.😸 (Taco🤫)

Going off on a chatter for something that does not exist outside of continental America is crazy.

Toasted Ravioli was created in St. Louis, Missouri and is mainly a midwest thing. It's weird to see it on a menu in California. When done right, Toasted Ravs are a really good appetizer. What we saw in the video is the worst toasted ravioli I've ever seen. It looked like the chef didn't coat the ravioli with breadcrumbs and didn't fry them at all. BTW, I had a TACO or two the other day. It was fantastic.

Taco. I can only imagine what happens when she sees Fiesta Sunrise. When it comes to dragging family into it.

Absolute yes to the Bar Rescue reactions. It's like Kitchen Nightmares but even more trashy. (With the exception of a couple where it's bars that were hit after hurricanes. Those are more uplifting.) Also, TACOOOO!~

Also I looked it up and more bars survived Bar Rescue than restaurants on Kitchen Nightmares. It's probably because the other host is harder than even Gordon Ramsey on the owners

Yay, it got uploaded to the KZbin! The player on the Patreon started getting buggy for me around the time she was getting ready to fire the head chef, and I’ve been on the edge of my seat.

It's the guy who can't make a meatball! Also a taco to watch The Black Pearl. That's an episode to watch when you want to get angry at the owners.

OH OH OH! PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE REACT TO CAPRI! IT'S ONE OF THE FEW BUSINESS THAT DID EVERYTHING WRONG IN THE EPISODE BUT THEY TRULY LEARNED FROM THEIR MISTAKES AND THEY LASTED A PRETTY LONG TIME! The only reason the restaurant closed their doors was because the twins needed to go back to their family that was suffering and to take care of them. I think it would be a breath of fresh hair that Alicia react to an episode where the owners actually learned from their mistakes and in the end truly listened to Gordon. I think it's my favorite Kitchen Nightmare episode.

Toasted Ravioli was invented here in Missouri. They are supposed to be lightly crunchy, warm and seasoned, served with a dipping sauce. Never overcooked or doughy

honestly, finding out what happened to most of kitchen night mare restaurants is very depressing
