Worth noting is that the hand reveal was a bigger twist in the manga, because there was no foreshadowing at all. All the scenes of severed hands and references to missing persons were added to the anime to give the sense that something wrong and evil was lurking in the town, hiding in plain sight. Also, not everything is stand related. Stands are technically a type of psychic power, and just one of many supernatural aspects of the world. We've already had vampires, ghouls, and flesh morphing pillar men, so ghost aren't that big a stretch.

So now I can finally talk about this Part 4 was originally conceived in a time where there wa sa wave of violent crime in small suburban japanese towns, like the one Araki was living in and Araki found this very interesting how people would go on their daily lives like normal despite knwoing that any one of the people around them could be one of these murderous criminals. Maybe this morning at the store the man who gave you your change killed someone the day prior, you dont know and yet, you dont really care, and Araki found this fascinating and wanted to explore it in combination with Stands. So you get Part 4, a slice of life daily shenanigans story with people living in a small quiet town and everyone around you could be a Stand user. Kira is the embodyment of this concept, a Killer, murdered 8 times the national average of people and he just works an office job, people interact with him daily like there is nothing wrong, its a scary thought to be sure. Another cool thing to mention, you actually saw Kira in previous episodes, he is just standing in groups in the background, just like a normal person, not really being noticable and just looking normal. goes perfectly with the themes

Time for some fun facts!: Before officially appearing in the anime, Rohan Kishibe can actually be seen hidden in plain sight in previous episodes. For example in the very first episode, when Josuke confronts the store robber who was possessed by the Aqua Necklace stand, Rohan can actually be seen in the background blending in with the crowd. In another episode during a shot of the street, he can be seen again crossing the road. Finally the episode before his appearance, (Joseph and Invisible Baby episode) there's a short scene of a man giving someone a manuscript and saying "I'm looking forward to those revisions, Sensei". This someone is obviously Rohan as you can see the purple sleeves from the clothes he wore when he first appears and the manuscript is most likely about his manga. There's most likely other times that he's appeared that I didn't catch or forgot, but it's really awesome seeing these details/easter eggs when rewatching this show.

Stand Callouts: These stands were present, but didn't do much for the main fight - Echoes ACT 1 - Heaven's Door (Minor Update: Rohan can just draw the stand in the air and attack people with the ultra fast drawing outline now instead of having to show them paper) Comment(s) of the Day: - Oh boy, firstly we have been seeing Ghosts - remember the golden misty figures of Joseph, Avdol, and Iggy? Those were basically ghosts - they were clearly dead, hung around to say something or give courage, then ascended. Jojo also has vampires, cyborg nazis, zombies, and fighting spirits (you know, literal remote control souls) so ghosts arent too weird - Ah yes, Kira. So about Kira - he's been showing up all season in the background. A really easy to find example is during the Episode against Oitoshi (Chilly Pepper's User), when they were fighting at the port - when RHCP draws all the power out of the town and the anime shows scenes of power being drawn from the town in different places, you can see Kira standing on a sidewalk with other people, watching a stop light flicker. He's been showing up constantly, just generic enough to go under the radar. A normal looking guy with a horrible secret

this isn't a spoiler; Reimi Suigmoto is indeed merely a ghost. we've seen ghosts before, remember? Joseph, Abdul, Iggy. however, Abdul and Iggy passed into the next world. and also, remember; ghosts aren't the first mystical thing other than Stands we've seen. in this world there are Zombies, Vampires, there's real Fortune Telling, Pillar Men, Wedding Rings of Death, Brueford's strange hair, the Red Stone, there's Hamon, there's Fate, among other things. what i'm trying to say is it's good to note that many mystical things exist in the JoJo world.

In JoJo, there are actually more entities than just Stands. We have seen Vampires already. But there are also ghosts (yes, these are real ghosts), and others. After Part 4, you should watch Thus Spoke Kishibe Rohan (at least the Anime ones), as it shows more such entities and it is really cool, since Araki plays with horror in this part and in the spinoff. As usual, you are quick to predict stuff :D Kira is arguably the best JoJo villain (or the second, as he would himself prefer) and is a fan favourite. He is pretty damn unique for a Shounen villain too. Kira is first revealed here in the Manga, but the Anime added quite a few scenes beforehand (no pun intended) where you can see him. Such as in the Red Hot Chilli Pepper fight in Episode 12, he is waiting to cross the road. He is also in the first opening during the flashing silhouettes (although that is a bit of a further foreshadowing yet.

We only started seeing the souls of the fallen companions leave their bodies in part 3 when Stands are introduced. Now we see that when Koichi was being pulled into the afterlife, the ghost hands pulled his Stand out of his body. In a later part(not a big spoiler im censoring important info), we see a stand user and a normal person get their souls removed from their bodies. The normie's soul just looked like him while the Stand user's soul was their Stand. TLDR, the reason we can see ghosts like Reimi now is because we have Stands now.

Stand are representations of the soul so it's not to far off to say that they are ghosts. Also in part 3 when iggy and avdol died it could be assumed that polnareff actually saw their ghosts because he has a stand. Same can be said when dio killed Joseph and jotaro saw a glimpse of Joseph's ghost. So assuming that ghosts and stands are similar it's assumed that they are more closely related by some of us viewers.
