@@NickCTorres actually that is only partially correct: while Araki had stated that the ORIGINAL plan was this there is no proof that Araki changed his idea after writing the issue where the crew separates: he could've had his original plan, change it, and, since he had no plans for Fugo if he were to stay, just decided to write him out of the story. meaning: the Fugo from the original plan may not be the Fugo that Araki had been actually writing for the whole part and Araki may have been fully aware when he was writing this issue that Fugo was never to come back.

It was originally planned for fugo to betray the group, but araki was depressed while writing part 5 because one of his friends betrayed him, and he couldn't handle making fugo betray them so he just made him not pursue the boss.

Fugo not joining them 100% makes sense with his character. Bucciarati isn’t mad at him for staying behind. He wanted fugo on his team because he makes logical decisions. And the logical decision was to not betray the boss because it’s almost certain death. They touch on this more in the spin-off story: Purple Haze feedback. It’s a really good book. I would definitely recommend it for after you finish this. Tho they change Fugo’s backstory a bit

The fact that people forget that Fugo is one year younger than Narancia is really sad to me. They classify Nana as “baby” even tho that’s cuz he didn’t get proper education, so he doesn’t act like a grown up. Fugo, on the other hand, is still a child and a very smart one at that (and his parents crushed him with that), so him being the only one to not go with Bucciarati is understandable and true to his character. Yet people don’t see it and just call him a pussy, which is sad to me.

Fugo gets written out here because he was originally intended to betray the group down the line, but when Araki got this far writing the story he was in a dark place mentally and thought Fugo truly betraying them would be too far. Every cloud has its silver lining though, as that choice lead to the creation of Purple Haze Feedback, one of the best pieces of JoJo media Araki didn’t personally create.

Not only King Crimson is OP because it eliminates all that happens on the middle of a action, but Bruno is also a genius since that to conter fight he needed to predict the counter of the counter of his action own actions. Fighting game analogy is: imagine that you can predict when someone is going for a specific hit (you see the start of the hit and it on the way) so during that you perfect parry, so to beat Crimson you need to know he is going to get a perfect parry and then cancel the move midway and do a grab instead. You ALWAYS need to be 2 steps ahead to even survive, much less be able to hit him

Im just gonna say this, Fugo was left behind due to Arakis original plan for him, being WAY too dark and heartbreaking. Originally he would join them, but as an alterier motive and being a spy for the boss and ultimatley betraying the group, eventually leading to Giorno killing him due to his imunity to Purple Haze. Araki changed this due to him going through depression at the time and hated the idea of a friend betraying others for little reason. Then he changed it to what you saw in this episode. So believe me when i say this is the better outcome for Fugo.

King Crimson basically makes him exempt from fate for 10 seconds. Anything he would’ve done in those 10 seconds still happens and anything anyone else was going to do in those 10 seconds still happens, but he won't be affected by it. The boss can’t harm people during his time skip, which is why he always waits till it ends to attack (the reason Trish disappeared and was missing her hand is because he was going to do that regardless of the time skip). Nobody but him will have any memory of those 10 seconds after he uses this ability, so it comes across as him skipping time.

King Crimson is the removal of cause in the form of "skipping" time, in reality it erases 10 seconds of time from everyone's memory leaving only the effect of their actions, and while it's active the boss cannot interact with anything, which is why he doesn't attack until after the time erasure. Another thing to point out is while they may seem similar effects wise, King Crimson's time erasure is not like The World's time stop at all as time still flows and things still happen while the erasure is in motion.

KIng Crimson Erases time. for the next ten seconds everything that happens will be shown to King Crimson and cease to exist, only the results of the actions remaining while everything in between ceases to exist. he cannot interact with anything during this time just move around and interact with parts of himself or in direct contact with him. he can alter things slightly like specifically choose which events get erased and which don't. for example if you were to shoot him or someone else he could choose wether to make the bullet apear behind you after you were shot or make it so that the bullet wound appears immediately without the bullet ever going in you. and his secondary ability is Epitaph. it's basically what lets him see the red (before?)- images that show the future movement of things. it also show him a somewhat still vision of 10 seconds in the future so he knows what will happen before and after he erases something in time. there is more complex mini details and specifications but this is the most complete explanation I can give while remaining exact and not making the explanation too long.

Ok so the confusing part of king crimson is that the anime just straight up lies to you with how he works and he doesn’t really manipulate time at all. King crimsons abilty is in 2 parts, with the first allowing the boss to look at everyone’s “fate” within the next 10 seconds. The second part allows for king crimson to lock everyone into their “fate” for the next 10 seconds except for it’s user, causing everyone else to perform the actions the boss foresaw without remembering them while he gets free reign to do whatever. The only reason they say this stand can “skip time” is that no one else can remember their actions while king crimson is active causing everyone else to think it skips time.

So just to clarify this ability is actually superior to DIO and Jotaro's time stop. I won't say it's more "Powerful" since he can't attack while using his ability but fundamentally time stop would have no impact as, regardless of the length of the time stop, it always takes place within one singular instant of time where as time erase takes place over several seconds. In addition to that it also allows him to see the future allowing him, regardless of the speed of an attack even if it were instant like time stop, to react to it.

Now that this episode has finally been uploaded: Fugo was originally supposed to betray (potentially kill someonefrom Bruno's group/get killed). However at the time, Araki was going through a depressive state, and couldn't stick with his originally plan. I think the final product is nice, and in addition we also got a very interesting novel about Fugo, since he never actually dies.

So, yeah, this is where Araki being in a dark place mentally comes into play. Originally Fugo was *supposed* to be a traitor, a mole for the boss. But Araki changed his mind at the last minute as he couldn't go through with having close friends betray each other and having never *actually* been friends So he sooner wrote Fugo out of the story entirely. Fugo however does get plenty of spotlight in expanded material like the unofficial Purple Haze Feedback where he gets his redemption and its revealed that he actually killed an assasin that was gunning for the gang offscreen and then disappeared to avoid being persecuted by the Boss himself

King crimson is like this: the user can see 10 seconds into the future, and then “erase” that time making everyone nearby act out the movements it predicted but they aren’t conscious of making these movements, thus it appears that time has skipped foward, the user can use this to position themselves in strategic positions

Actually funny enough that you guys tought about this, but King Crimson is basically a direct counter to The World. King Crimson can see into the future and see the time stop (or at least the result of it) and seeing he's in danger, he can just skip the time stop all together. So while DIO might stand a chance because he's a vampire (maybe) Jotaro would definitely get his ass beat 1v1.

When King Crimson erases time, the boss is the only one that can perceive what happens during that period. Anything that would happen to him is negated, but he also cannot do anything but watch until the erased time ends. In this way, he can remove himself from causality and do some weird stuff, like allowing his fated movements to occur while also doing something else.

In a theoretical King Crimson vs. Star Platinum scenario, if the Boss activated his stand first (quite likely), he would win. He'd be exempt from the actions taking place in stopped time, and in fact erase beyond it. Jotaro would stop time, then in his eyes, time wouldn't stop, he would be in a different position, and the Boss would be behind him ready to deliver a powerful attack. It's all about the quickdraw on abilities, whoever moves first wins. But given The Boss's reliance on his stand, and general paranoia, I have a feeling that he'd erase before Jotaro activates time stop, even if he doesn't know what SP does. The Boss would beat Jotaro, unless Jotaro pulled some bullshit (which we all know he likes to do). DIO on the other hand perhaps not, King Crimson is extremely fucking strong, potentially one of the strongest physically, but DIO is a vampire who can regenerate with shocking efficiency.

SO, I heard that the reason Fugo doesn't join them is because Araki didn't wanna make him a traitor. See, initially, he was gonna have one of the team members do a heel-turn. Buuut, as he kept making this part, he got too attached to wanna do that to them. So, his compromise was one to just... not go. And we get to see how that turns out twice, once in a side manga or something and in the much more memorable novel "Purple Haze Feedback". While Araki didn't write PHF, he did give it his seal of approval. Meaning, we can basically say it's cannon unless something in the future contradicts it.

In the situation of The World vs King Crimson it depends on who gets the ability off first. My understanding of the power is this: 1. The World - When you are timestopped, you are unaware anything happened during the timestop. As in, the World could have been activated beside you right now for 12 seconds, and you didn't know about it. 2. King Crimson - When time is skipped, you feel as though you lagged IRL. You were bending down to pick up a pen you dropped so you can continue writing? You are suddenly already writing, with the same pen in hand, because you already picked it up, sat properly, and began writing again. You just don't remember because the cause (bending down, picking up pen, resuming writing), has been deleted from the timeline. If you imagine things as cause and effect, you can delete the cause, and keep the effect. Where the stand becomes busted is that it allows the user to move during the erased time.

Fun video, here's a comment to boost the video with some of my thoughts that I hope aren't echoed too much by others here 1.King Crimson actually directly counters The World. The World Stops time(with DIO's upper limit being 9 seconds worth of movement) within a single moment, but King Crimson can make time skip for everyone else up to ten actual seconds. Since he also has the ability to look ten seconds into future he always has a good a idea of when to use his time skip. He can foresee any attack, but he can also skip past the part where he would take any damage. Even if he can't see during a time stop it won't matter since he would just skip over that brief instant where he could take damage and then he can immediately attack from a different angle unexpectedly while both of them are going through a refresh. 2. LOL at Ant continuing to say "time isn't real" in JoJo's of all things. Time-warping stands on their own prove that time at very least exists in JoJo's. The villains having time-space abilities parallels their defiance and/or want for control over fate, while the heroes accept fate with determination to move forward no matter what fate throws at them. Also if Ant remembered physics from high school he'd know that "time" is a very real part of the universe and is more than just some manmade concept. 3.I'm sorry, but this isn't really character development from Abbacchio. It was established before that he's is extremely loyal to Bucciarati, likely the most loyal of the whole group. The main reason he was suspicious of Giorno is because he thinks Giorno threatens his status quo as Bruno's right hand man and friend, which to be fair he kind of is. 4.While it's usually easier for me to criticize since I'm trying to say something that isn't redundant with other comments, I appreciated you acknowledging the emotional weight of the closing scene with Narancia.

Chances of getting a anime adaptation is quiet slim since they changed a bit of Fugo's backstory in the anime which mean thay have to make changes if an anime adaptation happens.

Someone probably already explained King Crimson's power better but essentially, when The World stops and freezes time, King Crimson Deletes and skips the time. Essentially, when he activates his power, within a span of 10 seconds everything goes as it is fated to so lets say you wanted to drink a glass of water, picked it up and in the middle of that the power was to activate, within those 10 seconds you would be drinking that water but after the 10 second period time is skipped leaving you puzzled as you're holding an empty cup and your thirst already parched, the only person who remembers what happened within those 10 seconds is obviously the Boss and the only person who's aware and can react to his surroundings is the Boss, so another example is, a person is crossing a street and a driver wasn't aware of the red light, in a normal situation the pedestrian might have reacted and dodged and the driver would swerve but if the ability is activated then both would continue on without being able to react and the car would hit the person

Alright, here we go Alicia!! The Boss' Stand(s) King Crimson's main ability is to skip time, 10 seconds specifically. It's like how you skip ten seconds on a KZbin video. He also has a sub-Stand called Epitaph, which is the tiny face on King Crimson's forehead. It's ability is to foresee 10 seconds into the future, again, like looking at the small pictures when you skip parts of a KZbin video. He normally projects these images behind his bangs, but he can also project them in the air if he wanted to to confuse his enemies. Everything in those ten seconds still happened, as fated. The Boss is the only exception to this thanks to his Stand. Abandoning Fugo Fugo was originally written to be a spy for the Boss, betraying Bucciarati and the others after a while. But because Araki was going through depression at the time, he decided that it was too much and changed his mind.

The scene on the boat is probably the msot emotionally resonant scene in all of jojo. its not sjut a group of friends banding togetehr for jsutice and goodness, its a gang of true companions faced with a tough decision, and most of them decide to help NOT merely because of JSUTICE but becaue of more personal reasons. Abacchio's feeling of belonging with Bruno, Mista's sheer trust and belief in Bruno's abilities, and finally Narancia's truly wholesome realisation that he should help becausse he and Trish have a similar trauma and him not wanting her to have the same pain he experienced. and yes, Fugo, the msot overpowered of the group, jsut says "fuck it I'm out." Causing him to stand out as the JoBro with only a SINGLE solitary fight to his name.
