I love Bruno and although he isn't my favourite in this part, I think he's one of the best characters in the series. His interactions with others show his kindness and compassion and his backstory shows his determination to do good and help others. The basic function isn't too hard to understand as long as you pay attention to the show (which you do), but the details of how it works exactly are open to interpretation, so people get caught up debating the mechanics of King Crimson's ability. These debates are not necessarily bad, just know that this early, they're only going to confuse you more on King Crimson instead of just watching it yourself and coming to your own conclusions. It is the FNAF lore of JoJo stands lol. Also, a lot of explanations of King Crimson rely on spoilers, so that's a pretty good reason to avoid them for now.

Spoilers! Alicia don't read! It basically makes him exempt from fate for 10 seconds. Anything he would’ve done in those 10 seconds still happens and anything anyone else was going to do in those 10 seconds still happens, but he won't be affected by it. He can’t harm people during his time skip, which is why he always waits till it ends to attack (the reason Trish disappeared and was missing her hand is because he was going to do that regardless of the time skip). Nobody but him will have any memory of those 10 seconds after he uses this ability, so it comes across as him skipping time. (Also he can project the near future. He usually does this on his hair, but he can also show it in an open space like he did to show Bucciarati that he was going to kill him.)

The best explanation I’ve seen of King Crimson’s ability is as follows: Imagine you’re looking at a recording timeline for a video you’re going to upload, only everyone in that timeline exists in a world separate from ours. We can observe them and their actions, both past and future, but they otherwise don’t know that we exist let alone that they’re being observed. Now imagine yourself editing this recording timeline for when you do go to upload. Unless you plan to upload it raw and unedited like if it were a stream VOD and not a highlights, you’re going to need to cut some stuff out, right? When you cut a part out, you need to put the timeline back together to fill the gap you left. Now when you watch it back, you’ll notice the skip in the action, but to everyone else in that separate world that you just affected, they don’t notice that skip and behave as though they went through the actions of the part you cut out. Only the more observant in that world will notice that they’ve no recollection of going through the motions to get from point A to point B that got removed when you cut out that part of their timeline. That’s basically King Crimson: a really powerful short range editing software. He has a sub-ability which we’ll see later which is what allows him to see future actions to an extent and then remove them from the timeline using his primary ability.

This translation is a little iffy, but I've been waiting so long to talk about this stand because it is a very abstract way of approaching time control that is incredibly interesting. His ability is to "erase time" which has lead to all manner of wacky misconceptions but if you followed Part 4 it is actually not that hard to understand. He has absolute (but out of context) knowledge of what will happen up to ten seconds in the future. If he sees an outcome that does not favor him, he can cheat fate by erasing that event from existence--it never happened, it never existed. BUT, remember what Kira said about bites the dust: fate will always reach the intended outcome by whatever means, so everything is shifted to where it _should_ be AS IF the prior events did happen. What he did was make his time skip lag slightly, so that when time skipped there was a brief instant where the Bruno that attacked the pillar and the Bruno that went behind it existed in the same place at the same time.

The boss is one of my genuine favorite characters in fiction, no matter how well written or otherwise people may argue he is. -I like how, in Part 3, DIO's face was shown to us and his Stand was kept hidden. But here in Part 7, The Boss's Stand is shown to us and his face is kept hidden. -Speaking of, King Crimson (localized to Emperor Crimson) is the Boss's Stand. His name comes from the British progressive rock band King Crimson, and (potentially) their (somewhat) self-titled song "In the Court of the Crimson King" -Additionally, his ability is oftentimes seen as confusing to new viewers. But, I'll try my best to explain it in an understandable way without arguing about semantics or spoilers. Think of it like editing a video. You can remove bits of time from a video by cutting them out, but everything that happened in all that time still happened. You still know what happened in that time, but the people watching the video don't. Now, imagine if someone made a jump-cut like that outside of an editing software, in the real world. The editor (in this case, The Boss) would know what happened in that time, but the viewer (in this case, everyone else) wouldn't. The Boss moves freely throughout his "erased"/"obliterated"/"skipped" time, because _he_ edits the video. There are more details and intricacies that are explained in later episodes, but this is the basics. I probably got a few things wrong, but this is generally how it works.

Ok so, king crimsons power is porly explained in the show and this causes confusion, but heres a quick explination. King crimson has 2 powers like killer queen and its multi bombs The first power, Epitaph, allows KC to see the next 10 seconds ish play out like a video, he then uses his main power King Crimson, to push everyone else to the end of those 10 seconds while he gets to manipulate things within the skiped time. Everthing moves exactky as his predition said, but only he is aware of the moving time and as such is the onl one able to do anything within it. For example he sees a vision of someone attacking him with a knife, he skips the time and ehile the guy gose through the attacking motions walks round behind him and levels a gun at his head, pulling the trigger when the skip stops.

King Crimson explained below (wait until Bosses next appearance first before reading) Epitath can see 10 sec into the future and it's fated the same way Boingo's book was. King Crimson makes everyone a sleeping slave of fate (they have to follow it and aren't aware of anything) while freeing The Boss from his own fate and letting him freely do what he wants. While King Crimson is activated The Boss is intangible and cannot interact with anyone else. But because everyone else still has to follow their own fate, if the Boss was fated to hurt someone and then used King Crimson, even if he couldn't hurt them physically since he is intangible during his ability their fate is still unchanged, their fate being them getting hurt by the Boss. (the same way Bites The Dust killed people after rewinding time, if it's fated to happen it will and it cannot be stopped) that's it

So, a lot of people have trouble understanding how King Crimson works, which is why I'm gonna attempt to put it in a way that'll make it less confusing. Here goes: The meme answer: It just works The short answer: It can skip through time and get to a desired effect without having to put in the work. The long answer: In the philosophy of causality, there are two states: cause and effect. A programmer might refer to them as zero and one, but they describe the same concept. Normally, according to causality, everything is subject to cause and effect; everything that happens is caused by something and in turn causes something else. King Crimson is able to hijack this by first predicting a desired event roughly 10 seconds into the future and projecting it somewhere, which makes this event inevitable and fated to happen. Next, already knowing the effect, or 'one', he erases the cause, or 'zero' which would need to happen first, but would put him at a disadvantage. During the skip, both the boss and his stand become intangible and thereby invulnerable, and everyone else's memory of the skipped time period is erased. They still act like they normally would during it, but have a gap in their memory after. This is how he was able to snatch Trish from the elevator: he predicted his kidnapping her, thus setting it in stone and then skipped the part where he would've had to step in the elevator and reveal himself to Bruno, and since Trish was fated to end up in his hands, it happened. So yeah, I hope that made sense to you and that I was able to explain it well! (Tangent: I fucking adore the sound design of King Crimson. It's just so startling and menacing and it exudes authority and power and goes hand in hand with the animation. Whoever was in charge of that is a genius ) Edit: got a little ahead of myself, my bad. We get sme great characteriation this episode. firstly, trish. throughout the Paart so far she has been pretty standoffish and mean to the crew, with eehr even mkaing them shop for her for frivolous bullshit. of course she's standoffish, she doesn't now who thes epeople are, to her they're jsut kidnappers she's tolerating because at the very least they aren't trying to kill her or hurt her like the hitman squad. plus she hides her fear and anxiousness behind a mean mask, trying to keep the gang at arm's length like they are doing with her. Bruno truly wanted the ebst for Trish, in as little capaicity as he could manage. Even with what he and Girono were plannign he wanted to beleive in the boss, he didn't want to eprsonally kill him, jsut let giorno have the chance. Of course this final betrayal pushes him over the edge.He takes his idea of a father seriously, and seeing wha the boss did made him truly despisse the boss for betraying his ideals of what a father should be. I also like how the flashback recontxtualises the idea of Bruno hating drugs. Before it was jsut because he's a good guy who hates how the drug trade is ruining the people of italy's lives and causing problems, but now we see its a more personal vendetta against the idea of drugs as he associates drugs with the men who tried to kill his dad, which further sells why he's so angry towars the boss. (also sidenote I lvoe how out of evryone Bruno probably had the best familial life, no abuse or neglect, he had a farily healthy relationship with his parents before criminals got involved.) As for the boss, we don't know what he looks liek at this point. after all, this is like how Prosciutto was portrayed for the first half of Grateful Dead Arc: the boss dosn't have black hair, its just his body is being hidden by shadow, because hys anonymity is the core of his character and motives.
