Well in all fairness, he’s an everything bender to a goofy extent. He can (when hair anger boosted) reshape the facial structure of someone to make them look completely different. He mainly uses his ability to revert things back to previous states but he can also change the structures of basically everything that isn’t himself.

For what it’s worth, the fan game 7th Stand User has a mode where you play as Josuke going through these events. There are differences of course, being an RPG and focusing more on “These are things Josuke can do that can affect not just the encounter, but the world and the travel itself.” For example; Manish Boy was only a threat because of the crashed plane. Josuke can fix the plane to keep it in the air.

Okay, but counterpoint: if he's outside the Stand, Josuke can just clock him in the skull a couple times, and leave him too disoriented to use the void ball. He virtually *has* to be inside the ball to avoid the risk of Josuke hitting him with something using some trick or other or just throwing furniture. As for inside the void ball, we'd be looking at the question of "can Josuke move erratically enough for Cream to miss", which is a solid maybe considering how much crud is available in that room for him to move around in. The real question is "does he survive the initial strike to have the opportunity to do start doing evasion until Vanilla Ice comes out to check?" Which is basically a luck check, in all honesty, as to whether he notices something being off. If he passes the luck check I could see Josuke incapacitating him somehow, maybe knocking him through a wall, and given enough beating him, he'd eventually end up accidentally either in a 2v1 against him and DIO (a virtually guaranteed L) or hitting through an outer wall, into potential sunlight, at which stage Ice could turn to dust. Average results for this fight, Ice wins, but Araki written fight, Josuke likely takes it.

I feel like calling Josuke perceptive enough to be relevant to an Avdol perception feat could be a fair read, if not a guaranteed one, so it'd be a question of "was he close enough to notice, or is he in the position of Polnareff, who would've died without supports?" Because after the sneak attack, he stands a chance. It'd be a long fight, but he could definitely delay long enough to get in a hit. The questionable detail is "does he get hit with the sneak attack, and if not, does he start breaking walls going outwards or inwards?"

During the discussion of the Geb fight around 42:12, Koichi was brought up as maybe having the range with Echoes and I think he takes it low diff. N'Doul is blind and relies on sound to hear the location of his opponents. Koichi could just use Act 1 to make enough sound to drown out any of his footsteps, even better if Act 1 makes it to N'Doul and slaps him directly, effectively deafening him.

One thing to consider with the gauntlet, Josuke could take care of the flesh buds in each of the enemies. This would grant him a similar or the same party as Jotaro, plus he could also save their lives mid-combat. Thus allowing the party to be more extreme and risky. Big Rule: GER is only available against DIO. Other Rules: Same stand users faced in the same order. Big Maybe Rule: Star Platinum can only use Time Stop against Diavolo (This rule is a maybe because it imo makes the difference between success and failure)

@@mcslayer9796 Part 5 vs Diavolo would be weird without the Requiem arrow, and that does feel kind of… cheap to give both teams there win conditions just because of the final boss. Bruno’s group figured out KC with a bit of help, so I feel like they could get TW down too. They’re losing quite a few, though. I get that Diavolo without hax is a stupidly unfair fight, but we’ve never really seen him fight stands equal to his(Cuz he’s a big coward). Kakyoin and Polnareff figured out both abilities as well, so it’s not impossible. The biggest issue is Diavolo becoming completely intangible during TE - because of course he does. One good hit would still end it, though, and Diavolo was never a brawler anyways(Coward).

One interesting thing to keep in mind is the expression "anger makes you stupid", because when you are angry the brain downshifts to a lower IQ. Josuke might be really smart in battle, but the way he gets offended if someone talks shit about his hair is a double edged sword. Yes, it increases his offensive potential, but it also reduces his IQ, and thus his ability to make the best decisions in a certain situation. His opponents can use this against him, provoking him in order to make him fall for something he would not fall for otherwise.

Should Steely Dan use one of the other crusaders as a hostage basically like he does in the show, he WOULD make fun of Josuke's hair but if Josuke goes rage mode the Lovers is going to kill said hostage so Josuke would have to CONTROL his rage and suppress his temper which would make it much more interesting from a writing perspective cause no matter how strong Josuke is, he would never get one of his friends hurt. If the hostage is close enough he might be able to kill Dan insanely fast and heal the hostage before the Lovers can completely kill them. If the hostage is no where near them, then he has to rely on the others to take care of the Lovers before he can destroy Dan but can Josuke keep it together long enough to do that?

I actually think Josuke does quite well against Vanilla Ice. The biggest weakness that was exploited before was that Vanilla Ice could not see the target he was fighting and would have to periodically reveal his head to try and look around. What Josuke could do is a repeat of his final fight with Kira in that he can attach some blood (or really any substance) to Vanilla Ice's face when he tries to look for him. From there, he can have objects with his blood on it follow after where Vanilla Ice is (like his seeking glass missiles) to not only track where Vanilla Ice is as at all times but to also automatically attack him when he reappears

Yeah I actually don't see Vanilla Ice beating Josuke at allllll. Vanilla had an advantage vs Polnareff and that was the room. Josuke is use to obliterating obstacles to avoid damage. He would simply do what Polnareff did and destroy the floor or a wall and get some distance between Vanilla Ice. Once Josuke sees how laughable Vanillas' offense is, he will wait to see how often Vanilla needs to come out and check for vision and he will probably make a projectile out of something and finish Vanilla Ice. Josuke just won't have the same weakness of environment that Polnareff had.

I think Josuke's hair getting insulted raised a solid letter grade to his practical strength, this is due to a real life phenomenon observed throughout history in types such as viking berserkers. The berserker would dope up on shrooms and would be so blinded by rage and the drug that they just wouldn't be able to hold back or feel pain. But obviously it lowers a solid letter grade to his intelligence. If his hair gets insulted and he needs to be smart, hes gonna have a hard time winning, which is exactly why he aces part 3, not a lot of the stand battles required a smart fight. If he uses his reconstruction ability, maybe he could make a Pillar to stand on as you suggested.
