It does not mean that Allah prays, Prayer is a form of contact/communication between the creator and the creation and so when the creator says he pray to the prophet it could also mean communicates. Salat means to pray when it is applied everyone other than Allah. The Command to say Salah upon the Prophet Al-Bukhari said: “Abu Al-`Aliyah said: “Allah’s Salah is His praising him before the angels, and the Salah of the angels is their supplication.” Ibn `Abbas said: “They send blessings.” Abu `Isa At-Tirmidhi said: “This was narrated from Sufyan Ath-Thawri and other scholars, who said: `The Salah of the Lord is mercy, and the Salah of the angels is their seeking forgiveness. [7] Tafsir Ibn Kathir 33:56 This and there are several many other scholarly books in their explanation of this verse mention that salat or prayer by Allah does not mean Allah is praying but it means Allah sends his blessings, mercy.... The actual verse that he was referring to is this: Allah sends His Salat (Graces, Honours, Blessings, Mercy, etc.) on the Prophet (Muhammad SAW) and also His angels too (ask Allah to bless and forgive him). O you who believe! Send your Salat on (ask Allah to bless) him (Muhammad SAW), and (you should) greet (salute) him with the Islamic way of greeting (salutation i.e. AsSalamu Alaikum). Hopefully, this clarifies why Muslims all over the world understand and know that in the verse he was referring to, it does not mean the kind of prayer we pray to god but rather it means god sending his blessings or mercy upon the prophet.

However, reading translation along with the Arabic to actually understand what the Quran is saying gives a lot of reward, and helps you improve your understanding of the deen. The reason the translation only doesn't count as the Quran is due to the fact that translations do not convey the *exact* meaning. Some words in Arabic can not be fully conveyed in english or other languages, hence why majority of sheikhs learn Arabic so they can understand the Quran as best as possible. One of the ways the Bible was corrupted was that people would rely on the translations only, then translate the translations into a new language (e.g language A -> B -> C) slowly but surely diluting the message being conveyed. This is another reason we do not count the translations of the Quran as the Quran itself.

Now God gave men the ability to produce offspring. Where do you think this idea of offspring came from? Where do you think that this idea of giving your sons your inheritance came from? When your son does good, the father is proud and delighted. You are basing everything based on your earthly knowledge and logic. How much do we even know of heaven and God to know what He wants or thinks? And the bible in Genesis clearly says that the son was with Him before the heavens and earth were created and it was through The Son God created everything. It wasn't something He created out of a need. Do you produce sons and daughter because of your need? You see, the irony is God doesn't just create something because He needs it. He simply does because He wants it. God as powerful and all knowing He is, He doesn't even need the angels then why create them? You need to do a better job at understanding God my friend. And that happenes through a personal relationship with the Father through Jesus Christ and not just through scriptures. How do you maintain a relationship with your own father? Does your father write down some laws and rules for you to follow? Or does He want to have an intimate relationship with you, a relationship that is real? You see that is the problem with other religions, the only way they know about God is through the scriptures and the only relationship they have with the Father/God is in the scriptures, rest is all in their imagination, the relationship does not go outside the scriptures. There is no revelation neither is there any supernatural encounter with the Father. What is a Father who maintains relationship with his children through scripture? This idea of God is gonna magically favour you if you pray 5 times a day and turn towards Mecca while doing so? What is the need? Can be the same question for you. When God is in Heaven and is everywhere, what is this rule of turning towards Mecca and praying? My point is, God will listen to your prayers regardless, which father will ask its own children to pray exact 5 times a day? Or turn towards Mecca and pray in order for your prayer to work

Either way, Allah prays. That's why David wood pointed this out. This makes the Tawheed in Islam inconsistent becuase if Allah can pray for someone? That suggests that there must be someone else besides Allah. The word there in arabic always means "pray" not "blessings or praise". Yet you do not see? 1:38 Here he said it again, "That's why the translation was "for" not "to" the Prophet". I was shocked people were still cheering. And if you honestly watched that debate like you claim, David wood actually said "Allah prays "for" the Prophet, Hijab simply affirmed it and still the crowd mindlessly cheered him. It just shows that those people were not paying any attention to this dialogue which indicates how highly Muslims rate ignorance.
