I’m glad my father doesn’t talk about money even weekly. However, he does chase money even now in his 60s. But due to him chasing money he has lost thousands. If he had kept to his normal day to day business and just saved and didn’t try to find quick ways to make more, he would have been much better off. Now that he’s getting older, he’s even more desperate and I’m having to help out which of course I don’t mind. A similar thing happened to me. I work labour and this uncle came to me and was like “ I want to help you make money” and this uncle was meeting me in taraweeh in Jummah … and made me lose around 15k. This uncle is still around and I haven’t told anyone about him … because apparently he lost his money too. The funny thing is … if I came across that investment, most likely I wouldnt even consider it … but because it came from that uncle who used Islam was all religious , I trusted him. But I leave it in the hands of Allah and those people will surely pay for it in the day of Judgement
