Just for now, I'll likely switch back my upload time to be a bit later. I'm struggling to get videos out on time, and this should help a bit. Thank you all for your understanding and support!

Funny to think that I've been playing this game nearly since release. I still remember when raft had nothing to do other than build the raft, survive and avoid Bruce/Jerimiah.

I first started raft a month before Chapter 3. I'm not (or wasn't) much of a gamer, but I love Let's Game it Out. He played Raft in his signature silly style, but the game really intrigued me and I knew it was something special if played as intended. So I waited until my planned computer upgrade date. And when that was all set up, I immediately purchased the game, and after restarting about 4 times and learning new things every time, I've been hooked on it ever since. Love your videos. They're very informative and a source of many helpful ideas.

I started playing around 2018 when the islands were not easy to climb at all. And I remember when the radio tower was introduced. Been following along ever since. Amazed at how polished the game finally ended up being and with chapter 3 brought some amazing features. Loved it all

Oh wow, I started playing Raft when it first hit early access on Steam. I had no idea there was a playable version before then! I remember how exciting large islands and the animals were when they were first announced, this game has come so far since then! Sad to think that with the ch3 release that might be the end of major updates.

I downloaded raft in early access in steam. I loved the game so much that I played it on my old laptop at 12 FPS the gameplay was improved astronomically when I upgraded to my desktop and I can play it at 50-60 FPS I love chapter three and all the new playable characters I’m working on the 365 day achievement right now. I love this game and I love your videos!!

I first played Raft in 2018, when I began lecturing game development and programming at TAFE in Western Australia. When I first encountered it, it was incredibly simple - I'm not sure of the exact version that I played, though I get the feeling it was the update that initially introduced the shark. I didn't play much of it but I did demonstrate it to the two groups of students that I taught that year, I thought it was a really inspirational case of how some students managed to create a really original and unique take on the already incredibly oversaturated survival genre. Looking at it now that it has been officially released and developed into a fully fledged survival game, it's an even more inspirational and motivational case study - and I've started using it as an example of what innovation and dedication can lead to, even for those who are at the beginning of their game development journey.

I actually like the look of the original foundations better than the current base model.

I didn't say this in the video, but those were changed for optimization reasons. I think the devs said it allowed better bitrate on lower powered machines

i miss old tall small islands that were impossible to climb on unless you had a 3 floor raft. obviously the new small islands are much better but having a small chance to find the stupid rock with one palm on top of it wouldve been cool

Radio tower has been out for a little bit before 11 October 2018. I have an achievement for reaching it back at the beginning of August 2018, (Although that's when I started playing so It could have existed for longer than that) so it actually came out even before the large islands were fully in the game. It had the note talking about utopia too so it wasn't like it was just an empty structure with barely any implementation.
@samkohlo9158 Жыл бұрын
It came out along with the early access release back in May, but was reworked in November 2019 for the first chapter.

I found Raft when it came to steam early access. However, I'm not that good at fighting. So I didn't actually get or play it until peaceful mode was added. It already had chapter one when I started playing. I'm not sure whether the bee update happened before or after I started playing. I want to say after, but I could be wrong.

I joined somewhere between 2018 and 2019, before the animals were added. Really wish they added in a mod ability for people to make their own story missions. Was really sad with how suddenly the game just ended. Seemed like there was going to be many more missions, then boom suddenly final chapter. Also the whole story rewrite sucked and made the game just childish suddenly.
