Really obscure fact : The acid burning through the floor scene is based on the "same scene" of an episode or movie done by Roddy McDowell. He played a scientist that created an acid that burnt through the floor to several floors below.

They spent so much time and effort getting this film right, yet did a massive cockup, by having Kane wear a head cover and helmet, when he was attacked. They removed the helmet, but forgot about the head covering, so the next shot shows him with the facehugger attached but no head covering
