Most animals don't commit violent acts for the sake of it or because of an overwhelming emotion, they do them because they must survive. So while various doctrines influencing humanities actions may not be an empirical rule, I am of mind to agree with such a sentiment within reason or at least entertain the idea as a possibility.

Probably the most realistic "alien" film I've seen. Even if the "Gray" was silent, ironically the attitude of the "interviewer" clinches the whole issue. He basically asks the alien what becomes of mankind, and why. But he does it with such smugness, and condescension (like it's a joke or he's talking to a child). The incredible part is he acts like he doesn't even believe the alien is real, like he's a hoax, even though he's sitting right in front of him. Anyway, point is, all that arrogance is the EXACT reason that mankind will fall - lack of love and compassion for each other, and always wanting what someone else has. Very well done!

Search on 'Skinny Bob" to get an even better film with ET's blinking their eyes. Also the Alien Autopsy video from the 1990's is also extremely realistic. Note that at the time (1990's) world class special effects people stated it would be virtually impossible to pull off this film as a fake. This is such an awesome unique take on The Greys. What about this was disrespectful? The point of the interview is to gather information not find a new BFF. As you get older, the more you realize emotions are only appropriate and useful in some situations. Operating at this level there is absolutely no room for niceties and friendly gestures, only direct unemotional well thought out questions with the goal to ascertain as much information as possible without emotions and nuance slowing down or confusing the exchange. Ever tried to hug a chicken or a wild animal and how did it behave when you did? It saw you as a huge threat invading its space, right ?? Why would you think that the gesture of a hug would ever mean the same to an alien by default as it does to a human ?
