I had a cat called Jonesy for 18 years! I got him as a kitten when I was watching Alien with some friends on a blurry, hungover Sunday in about 1998. We were all sitting in the dark, engrossed in the movie, when there was a loud knock on the front door from my brass knocker. Scared the shit out of us! We all jumped up, and I answered the door, and there was my teenage neighbour with a tiny kitten. She said its mother didn't want him and asked if I'd take care of him, so I said ok, took it and closed the door. Went back to the movie and called him Jonesy. I had no intention of owning a cat, but he ended up being my little buddy for many years, great animal. I was bummed when he died...
