Wow, at 0:25 that's a really good shot of the alien that wasn't used in the final movie. Missed opportunity.

Likely Ridley Scott felt it revealed far too much too early. They apparently shot a lot of 'coverage' of the creature, but it was whittled down to the absolute bone in the editing room. Although I can understand the reasoning, it's a shame that the footage of the Alien in the final minutes of the film reveals so obviously that it's a man in suit (they were pressed for time, apparently), when there was no doubt better imagery (as in the clip) shot earlier...

Thank you for a great review. Surprisingly, there's been little coverage of Sets 2 and 3, so your video was most welcome. :) However, the lack of accessories, given the price point, is appalling. At the very least, Parker should have included a flame thrower (just like Dallas). And packaging the figures with another Alien is just more gouging of fans. For all their talk, Super 7 often appear happy to shaft collectors - with poor quality control to boot...

This whole concept of vintage figures has just been used to gouge collectors/fans. Every figure is a rip-off.
