I got the Xenomorph with the "skull" face and although it lacks articulation, it is still very fun to play with.

But the thing that really stinks is that the "Metallic Flesh" ones head doesn't glow

Looking at the card art for Kane, I wonder if they had likeness rights issues for him too as they appear to have managed to use a shot where the glare on his visor obscures John Hurt's face rather well!

I have the full line, including wave 2. I too, am miffed at the omission of Brett, Lambert and Parker. Especially when there are 3 versions of Kane and 2 of Ripley.

I remember seeing these on the special features of my Alien DVD and thinking they were amazeballs. I never thought something like this would ever happen. I wonder if they'll make figures of the rest of the cast. Ripley definitely should've come with Jonze the cat as a bonus accessory.

Are we absolutely sure there wasn't a short initial run of these that made it to store shelves? I was 9 in 79 and I seem to recall seeing these at a local Zayre dept store in MA. Very cool anyway and I did see these recently but the price was too high for me, I think they were like $17.99 ea?

The only ALIEN toys released back in 79 were the 18" large Kenner ALIEN figure, a board game, and a motion veiwmaster like toy. The Star Wars style ALIEN figures never made it past the prototype phase by Kenner due to the problems with the large ALIEN figure. It scared kids and some parents were outraged that toys were made from a rated R film so sales were poor. A company called HG also made some ALIEN puzzles and two dart gun target games back in 79. Now toys from R rated movies are the norm in the collectors market.

Mine doesn't glow either. I've watched a few reviews on this figure and no one shows it glowing. Perhaps the original Super7 release did glow. Still a great figure though.

DestronTC while the molds were made in 79 the actual toy was made only a little bit ago so it would not be unreasonable to include a feature based on the recent movies
