There is something so fun about people recommending names for places under this series since these are all old, the name has already been chosen. I only found you a week ago but absolutely fell in love with your style and the way you portray the game. This series has been such an accesible way for me to watch past contect without feeling the overwhelming pressure of a long playlist

Hello Biffa! I wanted to thank you for your work. I`ve been watching your videos for years and they taught me how to do "lane mathematics", "Hugo there" and other useful staff. This helped me to improve my gameplay, and it`s part of a reason why I still enjoy this game after so many years 🤗 I wanted to share my city with you, especially a technique which i came up with. As far as I know, you never mentioned this in your videos. I hope you`ll read my story, because it might change the way you build your cities in Cities Skylines... the technique is very simple - NO TRAFFIC LIGHTS 😊 I`ve made a city with approx. 217k+ residents. The average traffic flow is constantly at about 84-86%, the road map is basically green. The size of my city is about 1\3 of a map (81 tiles map) and it has NOT A SINGLE Traffic light in it 😊 The only exception are the intersections, where roads cross the railway... The game just doesn`t allow me to take away the traffic lights there, and these are the only areas where traffic map sometimes looks red, when the train goes through and cars have to stop and wait... If i decided to completely isolate railway from the roads by using tunnels and bridges - the traffic flow would rise to approx. 90% or maybe more. The only mods that i use are "Node controller" + "Intersection marking tool" (making roads smoother and more beautiful) and "Traffic Manager". Moreover, I always play with NO DESPAWNING option, so the cars never disappear when the traffic appears (more challenging). I also have a "busy areas" in a city this size... nevertheless, I still managed to keep 85% traffic flow, the cars just never stop and move constantly in every part of my city (except the situations when they have to wait for a train to go through)... How is it possible? 1) Massive public transport system, using only trains and trams (by the way, trams also slow down a traffic flow a bit, because they are using same roads as cars); 2) Highways that go through the city and are accessible from every neighborhood in every district; 3) NO TRAFFIC LIGHTS 😄 (the cars must never stop). If the intersection is busy - I use "lane mathematics", "give way" etc.; 4) Placing industrial areas in every part of a city, to diversify traffic made by trucks; 5) Most of the goods must be transported by cargo trains, so there must be a cargo train stations everywhere (cargo railways must be isolated from a passenger railways) And finally, I don`t use roundabouts 😁 If i used them the traffic flow would become even smoother... but there is no need for them right now, not a single roundabout in a pedestrian area, I only have 4 of them in industrial areas, where the amount of trucks is enormous... but still no Traffic lights 😉 If i could i would attach some screenshots here, but unfortunately i can`t... but i can send you a link somewhere else, or i can share a save with my city, if you`d like to have a look at it 😊 Maybe you could even make a video about my city, if you like it. And you could tell what you would improve in it, it would be very useful for me to know your opinion about it 🤝

The arrows on the road near the amusement park coming off the highway round a bout dont have a right turn causing all the traffic to go into town. Thats whats causing the traffic issue.

Can someone help, I can post on paradox for some reason. I’ve just signed in today and all my cities in CSII are full of condemned houses and basically the zoning is gone. No way of putting zoning back, tried zoning tool, restarting. What should I do? As soon as I hit play the buildings are disappearing and I’m losing my city.
