So BASICALLY, if WE used the “alien” genes to create this humanoid THING, and because these beings can accelerate growth (including intelligence), perhaps …. These beings evolve to become engineers! We CREATED the engineers???? Who would eventually get away from us and establish their home ELSEWHERE?? And perhaps… these engineers (like in Prometheus/Covenant) try to enhance themselves so much that they evolve to become … Predators, like the Predators are won’t to do 😀

Best easter egg for me is that --like Alien and Aliens-- the 't-minus..' countdown happens in real time. It's exactly 30 minutes (after the ship crashes and messes up the trajectory) from the first "T-minus 30 minutes until impact" announcement until the ship starts getting shredded by the asteroid field. I find it oddly satisfying when movies do this and very cool that the three best Alien films all have this in it.

Tyler and Kay being siblings with different accents is because the company separates families and raises boys and girls separately. The boys have English/London accents, and the girls have American accents. Andy has an accent that switches because he was reprogrammed to have Rain's accent, but the upgraded module goes back to his default male English accent.

The adoration the crew who worked on this had for that first film is so apparent and I absolutely love it. Romulus was everything I hoped for and more, incorporating not just the lore of the past films but the lore established in some of the novels and RPG as well and then Fede takes everything to a whole other level with that finale. Criticism aside, its a masterpiece to me.
