How can it be good? The trailers are full of CGI. But more important, this is not 1986 where we’re seeing a facehugger for the first time and are horrified by it. We’ve been accustomed to it and other horror stuff.

Fede himself said he wanted to use practical effects as much as possible. They had ran out of budget so he puppeteered some of the props like making the facebigger swim. Dedication!

A very simple story. I don't have any expectation on it comparing to David and Ripley the ways they did the success. There's no a character can exaggerate the terror in this film. Just a group of teens get lost in a space station and their acting skill is so immature.... That's all. Just don't put a big expectation on this film will be wise.

One thing people need to learn is that in 2024 the volume of trailers, clips, behind the scenes and so on that are pumped out before the movies release is directly relatable to how utterly terrible the movie will be. Lots of pre-release content = studio panicking about how terrible the product is. I’ve seen lots and lots of Alien content already…
