Nah... It was a good movie however the best cinematography (how a movie is artistically shot) still goes to Prometheus. Again I'm not saying Prometheus is a better movie but it's cinematography was just on another level. Yes I know art is subjective, but I am certain a group of film students would subjectively rate the cinematography aspect of Prometheus higher.
@GaborGeorge3 ай бұрын
@@josephgodwin9653 I studied film production, so I guess I can reply. I like the cinematography of Romulus the most so far. It's the way I always imagined an Alien film should look like. Very atmospheric and loved the colour palette and it was shot really well to fit the story. My 2nd favourite look is the first Alien. It's actually hard to compare since Prometheus and Covenant have more adventure film like cinematography with lots of landscape shots and big environments and a modern sci-fi look, whereas Romulus went for a clausthrophobic style with retro sci-fi environment. Prometheus has beautiful cinematography, but it's too clean and neat for Alien imo. I like this dirty, smokey atmospheric style more. The shot towards the end when Rain is crawling on the ground, a huge smoke is coming towards her from behind and electrical outbursts light up the smoke revealing a silhouette of the "new creature" as it's coming towards her is one of the best shots from the franchise period. And it shows a unique and artistic vision to come up with that! This guy is a great director and can't wait to watch his next films. All Ridley Alien films look great, I just think the look of this film and the first few Alien films fit the franchise the most.

Later on they would be separated into their own weapon systems to increase efficiency I believe, making the rifle easy to carry and well balanced, while the smart gun used the auto targeting system mixed with a bulkier, stronger design and caliber so as to reeeeally take advantage of that targeting system.
