100% agree. There is a shot with a xenomorph and light shafts that looked incredible, it's one of those burn in your brain images, and that's what they are going for a lot of the time. Just spectacular camera and lighting work in this one on top of all the mayhem and character beats.

This is my first Bluray worthy movie of the year, Exceed my expectations. The sound design is insane

I didn't like it. Set pieces were good though, except when they had super total shots of the environments and all looked like cgi from a computer game. The first half was promising. I enjoyed that, but then it became an abomination worse than Alien: Resurrection. No coherent story, no character development, no horror even though they advertised it, bad cgi, and really just a bad blend of all the previous six movies. What a shame.

Honestly, "Aliens Romulus" is better than expected! I truly enjoyed the cinematography, score, as well as the special effects. The leading cast could've improved, but still enjoyable.

Watched it yesterday, it is really a very good movie. Actually was very surprised that the whole Alien-Franchise was included (except Predator 😉). 4/5 Stars for me.

It was good, just wished they had finished the filrm with them getting into the cryopods instead of adding that half human/ alien thing. The chap playing the Android was awesome.

In what sense??? Saw this last night and thought that the entire movie was interesting, novel, while still paying clever homage to the original, and well executed. Did I hate the “Run” moment. Yes but it was only one moment and I did laugh so.

The end is so &@y. Its clear Ridley Scott wrote and directed the end of the movie. I'm so sick and tired of him.

What about the end made you think Ridley Scott? I went straight to Jean-Pierre Jeunet cause they flat out hit us with the end of Resurrection all over again - they just slapped a Prometheus face on the thing this time.

With due respect, ALIEN ROMULUS failed to nail down on Ellen Ripley's 57 years of floating in deep space while Romulus was happening...Yes, it has Ash characterization but it did not present any explanation or scenes where Ripley's spacecraft was drifting somewhere. It would have been compelling had it shown where Ripley's direction was going through ... I am one No 1 fan of the Alien franchise, but from my files, I easilly access still and watch Alien3 and Alien Resurrection after having exhausted on Aliens (2) ... have never gone back to Alien1...at times I got the urge to watch Covenant & Prometheus. and seldom on AVP & AVP2 (Requiem). Would still hope the Blompkampt versikon will still finalize...
