I wanted the Prometheus crap to be done. I expected there not to be a ridiculous monster for no reason that ruined the end of the movie. Unfortunately, both of those things happened.

For me the Alien saga ended at Alien 3......... Alien 2 being the most exciting and intense, the Original Alien being by far the scariest if you watched it at the theaters back in the '79/'80 era, and then of course Alien 3 being terribly underrated

I think it’s already confirmed by the trailers that Ripley and her lifeboat will be rescued by the company by the fact the Ash type synthetic is narrating the trailer. I think she will not be woken up, but kept in cryo sleep and somehow it will continue on its way by the end of the film when the station gets destroyed. I’m actually hoping Amanda Ripley makes a cameo or is referred to somehow in this film.

I was hoping for no more prometheus slop, no embarrassing callbacks, no dodgy CGI cameos, and for them not to *literally* dig up the body of the monster from the original film. Oh well!

Only things I want is for them to confirm David in fact didn’t create the Xenomorphs seen in the original film and the Engineers retool Space Jockey tech and weren’t the actual Space Jockeys.

The trailer looks good, I recently revisited some I hadn’t seen for a while and totally agree about the CGI quality and threat - this film looks sweatier and more tense. Hoping it all works out.

I couldn't said this better myself, Marty. This should be a return to the 'horror' that Alien franchise can be and I believe that Fede Alverez will do a great job in brining that back to this series.

I have run out of expectations.... there's already so much crap about it in the media .... it's like there are no surprises... anymore I just wait for movies to come out on DVD.. I have a 55 inch tv I can watch them on... and I can get baked while doing so. Looks like a cool movie..

See marty I am just a smiple horror gal I like them movies with that there blood gore and a guy in a mask but I know that that ther fella Alverez he make them horror pictures and wont bog down the movie with too much of that there highfalutant sci-fi and I really hope we see that there pretty gal from the first movie cause she was in that there 1st movie lol Love you darling

You won't like any of this mate but I'm going to say it. I disagree with the CGI alien running really fast like sonic, it's aggressive you'd expect it to move fast and you need CGI for that, and I disagree with the whole "I want another alien just like the original. We need to go back to the franchises roots." We don't need another Alien, Alien Isolation or godforbid Alien 3 or Alien Covenent. We need a film that expands upon the franchise massively like James Cameron's Aliens or something more in line with the expanded comic universe I know you won't like that take because you prefer Alien, but it's the truth. The franchise abandoning cameron's aliens and trying to copy the original has never and will never be a good idea because it's already been done and to be honest one Xenomorph is kind of boring, the original Alien was one of a kind the first of it's kind and a type of magic will never be made again. And as much as I actually dislike James Cameron, due to his rampant Titanic disinformation campaign and arguments with actual experts. Cameron's is still the more popular more iconic and my favorite version and that's not just an opinion there's reasons behind it he thought outside the box and choose to expand upon the original rather than mindlessly copy it. And to be honest mate this whole "We need another Alien just like the original." is the reason why the franchise has been suffering recently, and why so many of the alien movies that tried to copy the original have all been flops.

It's okay to disagree. Agien I wouldn't be agree with you on alot of your points but at the end of the day their yours. @@TheSonic1685 hard disagree on this one myself. I way more prefer a single slow scary original alien over bug-monster Aliens. Fan base will be definitely split on this.
