I watch a lot of 40s\50s\60s Sci-Fi B movies. This is a true homage. Great plot, writing, Direction, production design, cinematography and acting. A lot of love seems to have been put into it and the cast seems to be having a whale of a time, whilst playing it straight down the line. And what a cast too. You couldn't ask for a better movie these days. Now we are targeted with multi-hundred million dollar film and TV fiascos with incoherent writing and directing, that no-one really wants. This is like an oasis in a bleak desert. Kudos to all involved. You should be very proud of this masterpiece!

They got so many things so right in this movie...the props outfits everthing is almost perfect.. even though it was all supposed to take place in the 50's... all of it was still around in the mid-1960's when I was a kid. A Great Fun retro picture, thanks for showing this.

So many references to those old sci fi films of the fifties & sixties, this was wonderfully done. Eric McCormick was the perfect choice for his double role, making both characters believably awkward. The teens were great, too. So much fun! I love this!

Nice homage to the fabulous (however low-budget) 1950's sci-fi films. Something neat about the naïve & innocent way people seemed back then, even with the paranoia of the Cold War and radiation looming behind every corner. Thank you for sharing, this was a lot of fun!
@SBCBears4 ай бұрын
Fear, certainly, but paranoia, no. Paranoid is a common characterization of Cold War thinking. Maybe you missed the response to Putin's recent nuclear threats, but what I saw was fear, justified fear.

Usually, I don't care for these 1950's sci-fi movies, but this is an exceptionally good flick. I enjoyed the plot and the acting and highly recommend it. The 50's automobiles used in the telling of the story were a real treat to me as they were memories of my teen age years. The story bazar as it was, was very entertaining. The use of the theater showing the Blob was a great touch as well.

In spite of people turning into gooey puddles, this was a great movie! It captures an era that was far more innocent than now. The humor was a lot more subtle, but that's some of the best because a thinking mind that grew up on these types of movies can appreciate it more. This must have been a fun movie to make, and the ultimate parody was the movie scene from "The Blob"! Many old "stereotypes" were used, which added to this genre out of respect for comedy and its much-missed traditions! The "woke" probably had a lot of "cringe" whilst watching this movie! Thank you!!!

Thanks for running the credits. The only actor I have seen before is Dan Lauria as a character actor in a variety of movies. Jenni Baird as Tammy and Jody Thompson as Lana sure are pretty. Very indicative of the times. I love the fashions of the 50's. Especially the women's fashion. Like Mrs. Cleaver, always dressed to receive company at any moment of the day. This was a pretty good movie. It reminds me a lot of the sci-fi movies of the time. If I didn't see them new, I saw them when they were only a few years old and shown on T.V. I was still going to the movies when this was released in 2009 but I wonder how I missed this back then. I'm glad I caught it now. Thanks so much for showing it. I'll subscribe in the hope of seeing more like this.
