@@IsaacHarvison-mt5xt Excuse me... but The Predator (2018) is kinda the stoopidest and the most shitty movie of the universe at all... It goes against lore from comic books and games in so many ways... The most important thing is that the Classic Predators (,,hunters") would never mix their DNA with another species because in their code it means something as heresy... Their culture and society is strictly matriarchal and clans-made. That counts with blood-clean genofund that get stronger by generations not by experiments. They try to evolve in natural way. By dominate 1) other dangerous species in universe by the hunt and 2) other predator clans in bloody feuds. There are fully grown generations of ,,blooded" which doesn t know such life in peace and don't even know from where the technologies of their species are from... or what the science is... Only the elders knows these secrets. So such thought as the mutation with men is really out of mind... That the reason why the ,,elites/spearmasters" or ,,enforcers" are send everytime when there is predalien born anywhere in known universe. They call every hybridization between species as an ,,abomination" and they want to destroy it. Only the bad-bloods called ,,Killers" did this when they rebelled against other hunters and their Elders in long intergalactic war, started thousands years ago. They are also the ones who stolen xenomorph from Engineers and tried to train em as bio-weapons against other hunters. They also don't hold the rules of racial hygiene. They used the black goo, exploited from engineers to produce bio-material for repair of damaged parts of their genetics or to heel the wounds.

It wouldve been cool if engineers and Predators were mortal enemies, the engineers created the aliens to destroy other races but the Predators were able to defeat them.
@hayleylongster46982 ай бұрын
That's kinda what ends up happening simply through circumstance. Engineers make multiple attempts to destroy (their creation) humanity via black goo/alien tech. Predators may hunt humans, but they will also work with us to defeat aliens and so by default, frustrate Engineer ambitions. Yautcha then become the number 1 antagonist of the Engineers by default. Humanity is merely the number 1 *target* species of the Engineers (as I suppose we remain their most 'disappointing', yet resilient, creation).
@timothybeaulieu51032 ай бұрын
@@hayleylongster4698the way I see it, the Engineers tinkered with the Predators just like they did with us, but the Predators managed to break free and want to go after everything Engineer-related out of revenge. It's one of the reasons they hunt us and are modifying their DNA with ours; they're gearing themselves up for Ragnarok, the coming Godwar between themselves and the Engineers. That's why they're breeding themselves up for size (like that huge Predator in the 2017 movie), to match up with the physical capabilities of the 15-foot tall Alpha caste (Space Jockey) The Engineers are pretty arrogant if you think about it. They want hero worship and call it 'paradise' and are willing to exterminate entire species when they don't receive it from them.

It seems that Alien films and Blade Runner are one timeline, but Predator is separate. Alien vs Predator would belong in the latter's universe. So xenomorphs exist in Predator-verse but they're not the same as Alien franchise xenomorphs. The main contradiction between Predator and Alien universes isn't even David story or Wayland, but rather the timeline of human development. Prometheus extras and Blade Runner clearly indicate civilisation on Earth advanced much faster than IRL, whereas in Predator, the early 21 century looks just like our own.
@timothybeaulieu51032 ай бұрын
Not all sections of LA have to look futuristic in Blade Runner and the spinners are almost exclusively used by law enforcement and the military. Civilians are restricted to ground travel. I think people have a hard time tying in the backdrops when certain things aren't specifically mentioned in all the concerned movies. I also unofficially tie in the movie Outland to the overall lore and rationalize that the dancers in the Con-Am leisure club are pleasure model replicants.
@randallbesch24242 ай бұрын
Yhhuelhi (Predators) are created by the Engineers to kill off the black Xenomorphs. A logical action.
@pman567892 ай бұрын
Doesn't Predator 2 take place in a semi-futuristic version of Los Angeles? That would probably align with the rate of technological development portrayed in Blade Runner. The Predator I guess would contradict all this though. I don't really think that Blade Runner is in the same universe as Alien though, since there isn't really much proof aside from a few comments by Ridley Scott comparing the two series', and obviously the Tyrell Corporation connection, but that could just be an easter egg. Maybe there's just another corporation in the Alien verse called the Tyrell Corporation, but idk.

No, the way I look at it in the novel tie-in I'm writing is that when Weyland lost the battle at the Tann/Hauser gate when his company joined 2 other corporations in trying to claim exclusive use of the gate, only to be beaten by UN forces, he was spurred on to create a patent for an FTL drive. The mutiny of the Nexus 6 combat team during the battle also convinced him to develop synthetic instead of biological androids. World War Terminus (from PKD's novel) is where I consider this timeline and our own to diverge. WWT grew from the Vietnam War and went nuclear in many parts of the world. Weyland, Tyrell and a bunch of entrepreneurs began developing advances in technology, which allowed this timeline to outpace our own by a sizable margin.

For the record, I don't believe the new-model Soldiers (in the movie 'Soldier') are replicants. I believe they're gene-tailored humans, modified at the zygote stage, and raised in an identical fashion to the originals. Replicants aren't born; they're created from scratch using sophisticated biomedical algorithms from a levo amino acid protein base and coaxed into expression. First, they were gestation in tanks (taking about 3 months per subject) and later the process is upgraded to being organically 3D printed (shortening the time to about a week, give or take, with an additional week for DNI training) before being released. The 4 year lifespan, the way I've thought it up, was established because the Nexus 3s ended up with severe mental instabilities due to a design flaw; to enhance their physical strength beyond the baseline norm, they were designed so that adrenaline constantly circulated in their bloodstream instead of only during crisis situations so that muscles always achieved near 100% contraction. The problem with this was it constantly affected the amygdala, keeping the replicant in a hyper-alert state. They couldn't get any meaningful rest and, as a result, they became psychotic. These 3s were the reason for the establishment of the Blade Runners. To try and mitigate the damage they coukd cause, the Lamin protein in the cells of their internal organs and musculature was replaced with Lamin Epsilon B, which only maintained the nucleic integrity of the host cells for 4 years before breaking down. Basically, those cells aged much faster than the other ones in their bodies. I also figured out a way to make Wallace's Nexus 9s obedience make sense.
